Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I tried to go vegetarian in college but there was no support system in the midwest and I really didn't know what I was doing. Fortunately, I stumbled upon "Diet for a New America" and found an EarthSave chapter in 1991 which helped me channel my compassion for animals into practical activism.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
