Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I started off as a vegetarian years ago for health reasons. I always felt weighted down when I ate meat; I felt much better moving to an all vegetable diet. After reading Animal Factors, my husband and I decided to try the vegan diet due to the cruelty inflected on animals in the production of food. Now we are mostly vegan, although we still drift back to vegetarian options when we cannot find fully vegan dining options.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Great application to find vegetarian friendly dining around the world. We use it wherever we travel and have found some hidden gems as a result.
