More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I enjoy being healthy and fit. I love animals. I like to do what I can to help the environment and leave the Earth a better place for my children. Being vegan is a simple way for me to be in line with those values, and to be compassionate toward other living beings here on Earth.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
To find great new restaurants to try, wherever I go! I like interacting and communicating with others, but it is mostly about the food. :-)
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love to vacation in Yellowstone, Las Vegas, Hawaii. I'd love to travel to Australia someday.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Chips with home-made guacamole, sandwiches from Buds (in Salt Lake City), hummus, and I make a really good vegan king-cake for Mardi Gras! I post my favorite recipes on my blog "Nate the Vegan" - please check it out.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I loved the movies Vegucated and Forks Over Knives (both on Netflix). Also, more recently, Cowspiracy. A must watch for anyone who cares about the environment.
