Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I became vegan when I became very ill and my body rejected all animal protein. Colon cancer was the reason. Six months after becoming "raw, organic, vegan" the colon cancer symptoms dissapeared! My body knew best. After much research and a few PETA videos I stayed vegan for the animals as well as my health.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

This lifesyle can be very lonely and isolating especially if some people around you don't understand or worse become threated by your eating habits. Also to find places that are vegan friendly to eat and shop.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. Any place in nature is great! Beaches too.

There is an great recipe for granola in the raw "uncook" book called "Raw Food, Real World" by Matthew Kenny and Sarma Melngailis. My taste buds have also been retrained since going raw and I love just plain fresh organic fruits and veggies.
