More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I prefer to be Vegan because there is absolutely no need or benefit for us to eat meat and put innocent animals through such fear and torture for our own simple pleasure. Another strong factor for me is the health implications that consuming meat and animal products have, even though the meat & diary industries will try to tell you differently.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I use Happy Cow whenever I am in a new City/place. I usually spend my Breakfast time looking for lunch places and my lunchtime looking for dinner options and so on. If you are vegan and visiting a new/different place, Happy Cow is a great tool.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I've been fortunate to have travelled several times to the far east and I love visiting Japan and Thailand. Recently I went to Chiang Mai in North Thailand, they had so many vegan options. I also get to visit Berlin quite a lot and enjoy how easy it is for Vegans there. One day I hope to try and get to the west coast of America and visit Portland and L.A. again (this time as a vegan).

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Living in Glasgow I love a curry. Generally I enjoy trying all different types of dishes, I try to keep it healthy and when travelling I tend to eat and try a lot more raw food.... this may be because of the weather.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

A great book and an eye opener is 'How not to die' by Dr. Michael Greger and Gene Stone.
