I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
When I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking, I also don't feel like looking around at a bunch of different restaurants, or trying out my "luck" in this land of beef, trying to find one whose kitchen's idea of a vegan meal isn't some naked field greens on a plate with a slice of tomato and oil and vinegar for dressing. Get creative, people, the ingredients are all there!!! I also wanted to give props and support to those local restaurants who are responsive to their clientele who choose a vegan diet. Veganism is becoming much more common, and any time I go out to eat with other people, (who will most likely be omnivorous), they are happy to let me choose a vegan-friendly restaurant, so that's me plus however many people I am eating out with, whose business they may not otherwise have gotten, simply because the restaurant acknowledges a vegan diet.
