More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I like to eat with the woman I love and I do belief that large scale consumption of meat is not sustainable.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

We often use the information on Happy Cow, so it seems only right we make our contribution too.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Fond memories: Haarlem, Switzerland, London, Tanger, Stockholm, Georgia (the one in Europe), St.Petersburg, New York, Portland (the one in Oregon), Seoul, Münster, Barcelona, Toronto, Israel, Malta, Appelscha. On my wish list: Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Prague, Athens, Portugal, South Africa, Helsinki, Berlin, China, Vienna.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Quiche with dried tomatoes and traditional heavy pea soup - home made, not by me; living with a vegetarian can be very rewarding. Cheese fondue and Nasi Goreng (Indonesian spicy fried rice with tofu) - these I can prepare myself. And I just love houmous and bananas. When I mention foods in pairs, it does not mean I usually eat them together...

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Some random preferences; no particular relation with vegetarianism, but all in English ;-) Book: T.H.White - Arthur, the once and future king. Movie: Terry Gilliam - Brazil. Magazine: the Economist. Records: Bruce Springsteen - The River.
