More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I like to live my life as uninvolved with all the violence in this world as possible. I feel my best when I am thriving off all the beautifully colored fruits and veggies organic soil has to offer. To me, being vegan is to be happy and sane.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Curiosity in this case didn't kill the cat.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

My boyfriend has a cabin that we visit when we can afford to make the 4+hours trip. It's so serene. One of the cabins was built by his late grandfather. It's an incredibly special place and I am honored and privileged to be able to be a part of it all. One day I hope to visit Finland. Nowhere there in particular, but Helsinki does offer the most vegan-friendly restaurants :)

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

haha oh jeeze... In the hotter months I enjoy anything sweet and juicy {watermelon is my favorite!} I couldn't live without sweet potatoes. I love a good green smoothie. My favorite dessert is a couple frozen bananas blended up and topped with peanut butter, nuts, and raisins. YUM!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

VegNews is a great magazine. As for books and docs I gotta give it to The China Study, Forks Over Knives, Earthlings {which I still haven't watched all the way through, yet. It's just so horrible}. On youtube I love Megan Elizabeth's channel, FullyRawKristina, and EcoVeganGal {Whitney is phenomenal! I would absolutely LOVE to meet her one day!}
