- I have been vegan since the early 90s. My husband and two year old son are vegan. I work at the French Broad Food Co-op. I have a blog called the proud vegan child. The blog features recipies, accounts of feeding a pickey eater and a veg on the cheap section that tell you some of the cheapest places in Asheville to get vegan food.
