- I show people that I love animals....all of them. I do not love only my pets. "Animals are my friends. I do not eat them. " George Bernard Shaw I am 68 and feel better now than when in my twenties because I eat a plant based diet. I do not eat eggs, dairy, or animal flesh. There is NO nutritional reason to eat animal flesh or secretions and when you do, you get chronic disease, i.e. heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, digestive disorders, etc. SO leave the poor animals alone! They have their own purposes for being here and are NOT your food! Stop confining, mutilating, torturing them and slaughtering them! Do unto them as you would have done to yourself! I have more energy than most people half my age and I feel good everyday knowing that my actions did not harm the other sentient beings on the earth. I have 2 sons and one daughter, one son-in-law, two daughter in-laws, and 2 grandchildren ages 12 and 15 one 10 month old and one on the way. My husband Dave is 73 and in great shape because he eats a plant based diet as well. I have a fabulous family and great friends too. Life is good.
