More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

A vegan lifestyle extends beyond simple animal activism. For me, veganism is a trans-disciplinary belief where I see impacts extending to public health, politics, environmental health, and social justice. Agribusiness and food laborers in America and globally face brutal working conditions. Poor worker's rights and atrocious working conditions that barely meet OSHA requirements are just two ways that people suffer from mass meat consumption. Further, the national agenda towards combating obesity hypocritically is hindered by its parallel support of archaic agri-business subsidies (corn, soy, dairy.) Since I've gone vegan, I can experiment with and enjoy a greater variety of foods.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I love sharing. I love advice. I love food. I love finding good food. I love eating delicious food.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Vedge: Hands down, the best vegan restaurant ever. Beyond Sushi: Even non-vegans convert to their amazing variety and flavors.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Hummus, Apples, Kale, Cabbage, Quinoa, Blueberries, Persimmons, Squash, Tea.
