Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

The primary reason is I prefer not to eat anything that had a face. I love all animals, especially cats. I have 5 we rescued. My husband and I became vegetarians about 30 years ago after seeing a program about the reprehensible slaughter of the pitiful creatures we commonly purchase in a supermarket or butcher shop.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Saw a show on TV about the best burger restaurants and there was a restaurant called "The Spot" that had the most delicious veggie burger I ever saw. That's how I learned about Happy Cow and I like what I see here.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love Bilbao, Spain. My oldest son married a lovely Spanish national and I have 3 grandsons there. I'll be visiting them in May. Have been there many times. Also several places on the west coast including Canada, east and west coast. I limit my travel to visiting family in Spain now.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Vegetarian lasagne, vegetarian bean soup, Vegetarian casseroles (too many to list here), Soymilk, Veggie burgers, Veggie dogs and several more things.
