Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
No animal wants to be killed and eaten.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
As a vegetarian it is IMPORTANT to plan what you are going to eat. This can make travel difficult. HappyCow allows you to see where you CAN eat before you even leave your own home, which is great!
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I have a goal to visit all of the state in the US, still working on that one. Also, I have been to N. Ireland, and am returning next year. I would like to visit more of the UK.

Aside from meat products I will eat anything, except brussel sprouts (blech). I love love LOVE avocado, black beans, sweet potato, oh, did I mention avocado?

I haven't read many books on vegetarianism. I did however enjoy "The New Becoming Vegetarian". I suggest everyone read this book and it is sure to put you in line with what you SHOULD be eating for optimal health.
