More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Because being vegan is the right thing to do and the kindest way to exist. I want to be free from causing harm to others and to avoid taking what is not mine to take and what is not given freely. Being fiercely actively non-violent is important !

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I’ve used Happy Cow all over the world and found it such a helpful resource. It’s often taken me off the beaten path in search of vegan food which has led to brilliant adventures, none of which I have ever regretted.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Recently, India - great for veggie food and a wonderful place to which I would love to return. I fell in love with it (and not just because of the abundance of veggie food). Canada - Toronto and Vancouver: great cities to explore and to eat in!! I love Italy and Spain and am soon to return to Madrid. Berlin - fantastic for vegan treats and even vegan supermarkets! I would like to visit Cuba and would also love to return to Mexico one day as well as spending more time in India.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Ethiopian injera - delicious !! South Indian food - bhel puri, dosas, and most veggie street food. Tofu, always ! Vegan junk food (especially Vego bars)!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
