Greetings, I feel compelled to respond to your review. I respect every opinion from every review that I read, with that said, let me go over your complaints one by one. First, the cost of my menu items. Unless you have owned and operated a 100% organic restaurant, you have no idea what my overhead is. There are restaurants in the same town as me that use the lowest grade ingredients, pay their employees half of what I pay mine, and charge up to double for dinners on their menu. As far as slow service goes, we have outgrown our space over the years, clustering the operation when it would get very busy. This is the reason why we are moving into a bigger location with a much better and productive work flow. Now, about the negative comments said back and forth, I know for a FACT that certain comments were made by another veggie "cafe" in central jersey. This individual has lied directly to friends of mine about my restaurant, and denied it when I confronted him about it. When it comes to "vegan community" I embrace the task of being ONE of the FEW vegetarian AND organic restaurants in our area, and try to do so in the utmost humble way. However, I will not sit back and let people directly attack me and my restaurant with lies, rather than keeping it to a writing an actual review. Aside from all that, I have read every review, on every site over the years. I am in the process of renovating and expanding Kaya's, and have kept many of these reviews in mind with the new set-up, including cost of menu items. I thank you for your time and concerns, and I hope that you will be compelled to give our new location a try when we re-open later this month, and look forward to another review if you see fit.
