More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

There are 2 main reasons for my change to vegan the first being the cruelty to living creatures, life was created for life not death. The second reason is of course the health of the body.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I have been a vegetarian for quite a few yrs now with the final total change to vegan as recent as a yr ago, the last to evaporate was a small amount of chicken, smaller amount of cheese so the final evaporation of the biggest lie in human existance evaporated, pretty simply. I joined happy cow for two reason to mix with "like" brain activity earthlings and the other is that i really like cows not withstanding that i like all animals but cows, dogs and small children are the coolest people for they live like the all knowing attitude about how things work here on earth that big human people (most) are not aware of.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I have no thoughts on this matter yet but what ever comes, comes. Staying calm and "here" is better than being somewhere we cannot be, granted that dreams are free and can come true but the dreams are not reliable untill they manifest. I would rather talk for hours with a very good friend or go pat a dog or go play with my new grandson (2yrs old) , i dont see many cows these days where i live but i used to have a small farm and there was a very special cow of a very high order of understanding that was truley remarkable. I miss her (RED Cow) was her name and the other creatures.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Rolled oats cooked in a slow cooker. Everyday dates cooked in a slow cooker and mashed to make this neat very tasty mush. Yum. Fruit in the morning if i can find natualy ripe and sweet. Sunflower seeds, pupkins seeds soaked overnite and ground as i use then, other seeds and nuts, raisins, walnuts, carob powder, mixed beans soaked and cooked. Rice, veges vege juice, not to much fruit juice. Most of my food is raw exept if i have steamed pumpkin/kumara (sweet potato) . Any processed food are at the absolute minimum and soy milk is my rolled oats companion and soy milk is my coffee drink out at my favourite and best cafe in the world (grindz). Black weak organic tea at home, no coffee at home. There is more.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

I dont read many books of the guidance nature i just do the things that feel right to me and most of it is good but there is a couple of simple titles (alkanising the human body) lots of good web sites. One little book that was put together by a club many years ago and they called it GODS COOK BOOK. A friend of mine gave it to me 10yrs ago and i have since scanned it to my computer and i e mail it to people who may want it, real simple and easy as it was compiled by private people to give free to others , so there is no agendas attached to the giving.
