Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

i grew up in a typical meat-and-potatoes Midwestern family, but as i got older i became less interested in red meats and pork. later it extended to poultry. once strict veg for eight years, my passion for Asian food has me now consuming fish on occasion, though i still eat more of a vegetarian diet.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

although Madison has some great restaurants, i've found larger cities still have the better food when it comes to foreign cuisine. some of the best food i've had in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and of course when abroad in Europe.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

i love Indian, Laotian, Thai and Ethiopian meals. i prefer dishes with lots of aromatic spice and am a big fan of chili peppers...bring on the heat!
