Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have lived for most of my adult life not killing things to live, I fail to understand why any sane person wants to kill something that they do not need to.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I joined this to read/share information about vegan eating places around the world
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love Brighton and Glasgow as they have wonderful places to eat. Munich also has a great vegan restaurant (but not much else to eat outside of there!!). I also highly recommend Gent in Belgium, they have adopted a 'Meat Free Thursday' there and the local tourist office produce a guide on where to eat vegetarian. There are lots of vegetarian restuarants and three (at least) totally vegan ones.. it's veggie heaven. I have always wanted to go to Cuba and Prague and, luckily, I did both in 2007.Vegan food isn't really known in Cuba but lots of rice, beans and vegetables so didn't starve. Prague had several great places to eat.. highly recommend Country Life, really near the old town centre and the best 'vegan cream cakes' ever.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Tofu.... I can eat it every day and never get bored. 'Moo Free' vegan chocolate is just wonderful.

Just saw your profile featured on the homepage. Your photo intrigues me... where in the world is "Land's End?" Is that the edge of the world?! Take care.
