About:
Strict veggie since 16 and been on and off with veganism for a few years and now a vegan/raw/ethical human. (I never do things simple!) : ) But most of all I am eating ethically. I feel much happier in my life and learning everyday that living compassionately in this world (towards myself as well!) gives me a sense of peace and hope in my life which I've never had before.

More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Animals are amAAAAAzing! : ) 'The utopians feel that slaughtering our fellow creatures gradually destroys the sense of compassion, which is the finest sentiment of which our human nature is capable.' Sir Thomas More, Irish author and poet, (1478-1535)

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

A veggie with vegan tendencies for 25 but as soon as I discovered the horror of that dairy industries and it's just as bad, that was it... ethical vegan all the way, I eat mostly raw now and love it! : ) A very happy vegan for the last 3 years and the rest of my life. xx

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Adore LIMES and coriander!! Latest addiction.. blend coriander, parsley, avocado, lime, light tahini, nutritional yeast flakes and then grab a spoon! Doesn't make it out of the blender!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

No problem.
I only eat for survival, so not really looking for gourmet meals myself. I'm happy enough with Govindas. Anyway, as I said, vegans can't expect much of society.
Alas, I hope you are one already. You know the saying, when vegetarians grow up, they become vegans

Sometimes I dream of a city only for vegans.
In the meantime, you may try Gent (Belgium), with vegan only buffet restaurant, or Amsterdam, perhaps, with a 100% vegan shop. But not quite close to any vegans expectations, as cities in general. To be honest with you, I do find Dublin ok as far as vegan friendly can go in today's society... That doesn't say much about this civilization
