Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Well, I have never eaten meat in my life so I don't know what I missing...or that's what some people would say. Personaly, I'm glad I have never eaten meat before, matter a fact, I don't even like the smell of it. My mom has a pin that she wears all the time and I like the saying on it. I'm sure every one on here has heard the phrase "Love animals, Don't eat them." I ate my first egg at 8 and then from there I went on to eat cheese and such, but I don't want to eat dairy anymore, so now I'm vegan.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Well, the only places I have been are upstate NY, where I live now, and Ocean County NJ, where I moved from. NJ, by the way, is not a dump like what most people think, but It is actuly a beautiful place, especialy if you live by the ocean. :D My friends sometime joke around with me because of my accent. Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Basmati rice and grilled tofu in an Asian sauce, Macaroni and gravy (How the italians of Newark call pasta and sauce) with tofu racotti cheese. Vegi burger sandwhich with vegan mayo and ketchup.....and then who doesn't LOVE salad and yummy friuts??? Also pizza with vegan cheese, although it is very rare that I get that because vegan cheese is EXPENSIVE!!!!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

The Chronicals of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings (By the way for those of you who have seen the movies, Elijah Wood, Frodo Baggins, is vegan), All the books by Susan Fletcher. I also like the Hobbit and I like The Neverending Story and The Princess Bride. All kinds of books on Nature Study such as The Handbook of Nature Study by Anne Comstock. Inkheart is another good book and also Inkspell (NO WITCH CRAFT STUFF LIKE HARRY POTTER). Movies are so much fum! Since I don't have cable I'm always looking for new ones. I'm also always getting TV shows on dvd. My favs are Friends, Lost, King of Queens, M*A*S*H and a couple others. I like a bunch of movies with Elijah Wood such as The Adventures of Huck Finn, Oliver Twist, Lord of the Rings, Flipper, Happy Feet and Forever Young (There are others, but I forget the titles). I like Titanic, Phantom of the Opera, Just Like Heaven, Along Came Polly, Saharah, You've Got Mail, While You Were Sleeping, Frequency, The Count Of Monte Cristo, 50 First Dates, Beaches, Spiderman Trilogy, Cats and Dogs, Charlotte's Web (Book and Movie), Peter Pan (book and both movies cartoon and live), Hook, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Dick Van Dike is really good in that!) Zorro 1 & 2, Chronicals of Narnia (Book and movie, plus future movies that are coming out) I saw previews for a movie called the Spiderwick Chronicals, if anyone has seen that yet pleace let me know and tell me what you thought when you saw it because I thought it looked really good. I like the Shrek movies and soooooo many more I can't even remember. I could talk about movies and books all day long!
