Spirituality and Love SPIRITUALITY AND LOVE Spirit, soul, heart, zest for life, love of life Does spirituality have to do with scripture? dogma? commandments? Or more simply with empathy, humility and caring Is spirituality for the chosen? Or for the choosing Is it a thing? A state of being? Or a becoming Is spirituality constricting? limiting? reductive? Or expanding, inclusive, unfettering They speak of "universal spirituality" Words come easy actions not so much They speak of "universal love", while limiting love at every turn They speak of "unconditional love", while picking and choosing whom Can we really express unconditional love? Or must we. Post Date: 03/17/16, Replies: 6
Practices that deepen your awareness Hi there. I'm a former vegan/vegetarian who "fell off the wagon" in the form of Paleo for some time. While my body truly felt wonderful eating that way, I soon slipped back into the SAD, and then through a series of spiritual experiences (that sounds presumptuous, but I think spiritual experiences are available to us whenever we are willing to open ourselves to them). I am now working hard on eliminating meat and dairy completely. I'm wondering how you all work to strengthen the mind/body connection when it comes to animals so many eat? How do you continually 'remind yourself' of the reality there, even when your body asks for meat? I realize this may not be an issue for all, but unfortunately I am finding it a hurdle. Correcting View There is a spiritual problem plaguing our vegan community. Vegan atheistic feminism seems so modern and avant-garde as though it were the last word in enlightenment and compassion. I have found instead such practitioners of these values as narcissistic, selfish, aggressive, and rude. They want to espouse their flawed philosophy in a loud, dominating manner that suppresses free speech. They want to rub everyone’s nose in any criticism of their beliefs as though countering them is wrong. There is no wisdom, compassion nor enlightenment in atheism; these are Buddhist concepts and Buddhism is not an atheistic philosophy. What atheistic vegan feminism offers is an irrational view of reality based on a misinterpretation of science, Marxism, and veganism. They seek to desecrate culture, religion, and the enormous accomplishments of men to couple this with the only moral stance in their platform which is veganism. This is an abuse of the vegan way of life, promoting sugar coated poison at the expense of true vegan values. Post Date: 01/14/17, Replies: 6

Religion's Failure Religion is responsible for the hierarchical thinking that puts men above women, humans over the other animals, kings over slaves and one religion over another. Is it a coincidence that the appearance of organized religion parallels the evolution of organized warfare? As a freethinker, I would never deny any "believer" their right to believe and to speak openly about it. It's religious folks who want to deny atheists, agnostics and deists an equal voice when discussing contemporary moral issues. People of all faiths have been praying for an end to war for ten millennia, when will their gods respond? Why do many believers fear freethinking so vehemently? What is their fear? Thinking? Asking questions? Logic? How many would dare open the cover of a book penned by an agnostic? "The happiest people I know have been those who gave no concern about their own souls, but did their uttermost to mitigate the miseries of others." -Elizabeth Cady Stanton "There was a time when religion ruled the world. It is known as the Dark Ages." -Ruth Hermence Green Being obsessed with the afterlife and whether one will live in some version of a heaven or hell is more than just a waste of time. It means doing "good work" out of fear. I 've been trying to do "good work" for half a century...my motivation is to reduce suffering because I have empathy with those who suffer, not because of fear of some god's wrath. I've had the pleasure of working alongside "believers" and freethinkers in the effort to achieve equal rights for women and minorities, The Buddhists, Christians, Hindus and Jews had no problem standing next to me. Historically, freethinkers have been among leaders in the fights for justice and peace, including the animal rights and vegan movements. Post Date: 02/11/17, Replies: 6
Karma Hsuan Hua Fa Shr, a renown Buddhist monk, once explained that the reason there is war is due to diet, Karma and reincarnation. He explained that if a cow is eaten by a human and then in the next life the cow is a human that then eats a cow who was the human in the past life, a circle of anger occurs. When a nation of cows are eaten by a nation of humans and they reverse roles in the future incarnation, going back and forth many times consuming each other, very deeply rooted hatred arises. When finally all the participants in this horrific carnivorous circle of multiple incarnations arise as human beings, they choose sides and fight a war. Karma may hold a secret as to why people eat meat. There also is a Tibetan Vajrayana sentiment that people eat meat to eat their enemies. Karma literally means to make or to do. We can make a wonderful world by doing the right thing and eating vegan. This releases us from the Karmic torrent of negativity that meat eating creates. Implied in the term Karma is the responsibility for our actions, sometimes experiencing the fruition of our choices many future incarnations after the fact. Eat Karma or eat peace. Is this the difference between meat eating and a vegan diet? The Hindi, the Buddhists, the Jains, many followers of Confucius, Taoists, many Rabbis and certain sects of Christianity all feel that vegetarianism is the first step of the long voyage into spirituality, compassion and rectifying one's Karma. Does one have to have good past life Karma to practice a vegan lifestyle? Can we change this planet's Karma by going vegan? Post Date: 06/04/16, Replies: 5
Sacred Marriage The divorce rate in the US has been estimated near 75%. Fertility rates are dropping in the West so much so that the ruling elite of Europe have imported vast Muslim populations, for better or worse, that reproduce in higher numbers to replace the non-reproducing indigenous European populations. The ruling elite know that a growing consumer base to their capitalistic economies and a growing base for their work force matters more than ethnicity, religion or indigenous culture and genetics. How has this happened? We must look to current events for answers. Population levels and the institution of marriage seemed all right in the reconstruction period of economic recovery after World War 2 until the late 70s. By the 90s a fertility dystopia rife with broken marriages set in with no cure in sight. Although there is no simple answer to this complex topic, there certainly are a few obvious cultural patterns that did develop during this time. One variant concerns the environment. Nature provides Eros for love. During the late 70s onward, massive amounts of city building destroyed much of the world’s nature. No longer was it safe to drink from a river, trees are now in tree museums known as arboretums and one can drive for miles from mall to mall through canyons of cement. Another variant is the failure of Christianity. With the fallout of Catholic pederast scandals filling the headlines, Catholic attendance at Church has dropped precipitously. Protestant religions that use to emphasize family and work now run mega Churches that only banter eschatology or the end of the world. The end of the world and pederasty does not lend well for fertility nor over all acceptance of religion. Instead people are flocking now to atheism and dropping religion all together. What is the impact of Atheism on fertility? Without the sacredness of marriage or any belief in the esoteric concerning abstractions like love and God, people live together and break up often in an endless pursuit of personal pleasure and self-realization. Atheism also seems to effect birth rates negatively in China where an enforced one child policy led to an enormously imbalanced male population which inherently is impotent without women. The rise of feminism during this time also reduced fertility. We can see this from two levels. Islam, a notoriously male dominating patriarchal society, does not have a fertility problem other than it seems to over produce. Feminism, by contrast, steals away male virility. Men fought off the British, men wrote and signed the constitution, men built the cities, men invented electricity, the phone, the computer, air travel, the car, tract housing, universities, museums etc. Feminists walk in and demand that it all be handed over to women and deny men their most fundamental rights of child visitation after divorce. So many women that are feminists have no manners, are rude, narcissistic, masculine, aggressive and domineering. Feminist men often cultivate the feminine side of their personality and the conclusion is infertility. Women demanded equal rights in the work place which means that both parents work and so many generations of parent-less latch door children fill our prisons on drug charges. In terms of a vegan context, perhaps we should review the Atheist Vegan Feminist agenda. Do we really need to be led by women who wear party dresses and army boots, purple hair and bad make up, who are rude, aggressive, and ill mannered? Vegans need to redefine marriage, love, the role of man and woman, and especially God to reproduce. Vegan children are the most wondrous beings I have ever seen. It would be a shame to see the vegans become infertile and without love because a few greedy women who wanted to steal our cultural power convinced other vegan women that sperm stealing and single parent families are successful models. We need to operate from a male virility cosmology where love and God exist and marriage is sacred if we are going to compete with the Muslim culture. Otherwise in our next incarnations we will be eating lamb shish-kabob and chanting “Allah Akbar!” Post Date: 01/15/17, Replies: 5

Removing meat from your diet is essential This post is from a message sent to us from Tony Samara... Removing meat from your diet is essential: The subject of nutrition is not simply a question of the food we eat at meals. Besides nutrients, foods contain scents, colours and invisible particles that attract pure light, light that is so essential for our joyful life and well-being. The choice we make is therefore always of consequential significance. The difference between flesh-based and vegetarian foods lies in the amount of sunlight they contain. Fruits and vegetables are so steeped in sunlight, that one could say they are a condensed form of light. In order to develop the qualities of the heart, besides eating peacefully, one needs to eat consciously. This means bringing in the light, eating the concentrated light which contains the beautiful sounds that connect our hearts to the rhythms and invisible aspects of the Universe. This attracts the luminous properties of matter and illuminates your being, especially your thoughts and emotions, not just today, but throughout your experience of your existence on this material plane. Your future depends on how you eat and what you eat. Your body is your temple and every action within the temple, done with conscious intention, creates a more harmonious outcome. Transcendence happens as you obtain better and more refined particles to replace that which hold the old and limiting particles which colour your experience of this ecstatic universe. The quality of your food, it's physical properties, not only transforms your emotions and mind, but can actually change your appearance and personality. Everything around us is is permeated by forces and those forces become more pure and subtle the further they reach the higher planes of light that exist here in the physical world. This realm is of a spiritual nature, which transcends limitations and lives in the pureness of your most luminous and open qualities. The secret to opening the treasure-house of food, is the love and compassion attained within your consciousness. The treasure is the sun, condensed into particles, which we can send to all the centres in our bodies. This essential signpost of love reveals to you that at the deepest level, compassion becomes a healing power in the widest sense. Everyone you come into contact with will be touched by your presence and affected by the healing peace that you radiate. This breaks the cycle of action and reaction. You become light in the world, a reflection of consciousness in the most pure form, illuminating unconsiousness as it dissolves in the light of your new experience. The quality of your consciousness at this very moment determines how you will experience your future. Seek to generate enough light consciousness in order to feel the heightened aliveness so that you recognise and embrace your truth from the space of pure consciousness. Go more deeply into the source of your experience, where theory and speculation have no voice, rather, your inner experience speaks forcefully. Finding Our Way Home Hindu and Buddhist cultures, unlike Western cultures of Europe and the US, do not share the current problem of declining population rates among key enclaves like the Anglos. We can learn from these far Eastern Cultures lessons in social formation patterns, familial patterns, and spiritual philosophical metaphysics to return our fertility and return our re-population levels. Hinduism offers a positivist view of life. Bliss is the source of creation and therefore a given premise of life. There is no Devil in Hinduism, so there is no concentrated evil. There is no original sin, no emphasis on forgiveness and life is good. It is amazing how removing evil from the equation increases fertility. If Christians truly want to overcome evil and defeat the Devil, they should simply practice Hinduism. Hindu culture also has family relations and marriage understood. In the West, children are often thrown out of their parents’ home at age 18 because they are adults. In India, the sons never need to leave home and they inherit their family estate. The women leave home when they are married and live with their husband and their husband’s family. This is not a perfect system to be sure, and so many young Hindus leave for education abroad to avoid arranged marriages and living with the in laws. However, after education is over many return for their arranged marriages. This system removes enormous stress in the lives of young people and permits them to start families in their youth with live in grandparents to assist in baby sitting and counsel. When Western children leave home at 18, frequently they do not amass enough wealth to start a family until 35 years of age or older. Buddhist culture offers morality. For Buddhists, morality is the outward sign of successful spiritual cultivation. One’s religious practice and meditation is measured by how well one lives the Five Precepts. These precepts were given by the Buddha as a rule for how to mitigate one’s past Karma and to not acquire more bad Karma. The precepts are simple: No Killing, No Stealing, No Wrong Speech, No Sexual Immorality, and No Intoxication. Because morality is central to their culture, friends, parents, children, marriage partners etc. can relax and have a general basic trust with each other. Also, Buddhism does not have a concept of evil in its beliefs. When life is good, and people are good as a foundation view, fertility increases. Self-hate, scapegoating and fear of the unknown are Western psychosis to be sure. Then there is the profound topic of meditation which both Hindu and Buddhist cultures practice. Meditation is not required in either religion, but is enjoyed by both. The sitting Lotus Position is central to their chaste and celibate cultures. Meditation and specifically the Lotus Position, partial or full, helps control the concupiscible faculties. Physical training of the body and mind are required to accomplish the simple task of living a moral life and seeing all things as good unless otherwise shown to be otherwise. Also, a tenant of humility and simplicity and a greater value on the spiritual and the familial aspects of life rather than the material gain helps garnish a more healthy and fertile existence. Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Envir The link between Mind and Social / Environmental-Issues. The fast-paced, consumerist lifestyle of Industrial Society is causing exponential rise in psychological problems besides destroying the environment. All issues are interlinked. Our Minds cannot be peaceful when attention-spans are down to nanoseconds, microseconds and milliseconds. Our Minds cannot be peaceful if we destroy Nature. Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment. Subject : In a fast society slow emotions become extinct. Subject : A thinking mind cannot feel. Subject : Scientific/ Industrial/ Financial thinking destroys the planet. Subject : Environment can never be saved as long as cities exist. Emotion is what we experience during gaps in our thinking. If there are no gaps there is no emotion. Today people are thinking all the time and are mistaking thought (words/ language) for emotion. When society switches-over from physical work (agriculture) to mental work (scientific/ industrial/ financial/ fast visuals/ fast words ) the speed of thinking keeps on accelerating and the gaps between thinking go on decreasing. There comes a time when there are almost no gaps. People become incapable of experiencing/ tolerating gaps. Emotion ends. Man becomes machine. A society that speeds up mentally experiences every mental slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety. A ( travelling )society that speeds up physically experiences every physical slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety. A society that entertains itself daily experiences every non-entertaining moment as Depression / Anxiety. Fast visuals/ words make slow emotions extinct. Scientific/ Industrial/ Financial thinking destroys emotional circuits. A fast (large) society cannot feel pain / remorse / empathy. A fast (large) society will always be cruel to Animals/ Trees/ Air/ Water/ Land and to Itself. SPIRITUAL REINCARNATION Tuesday, January 6, 2009 Spiritual ReIncarnation Lectures since 1993 Like all reincarnation, we have crossed paths many times with each other..everyone in this world. The one's that you connected with and/or have been involved with are more likely the most recent past life with or had a very strong connection from your past lives. We reincarnate in many living forms from human, to cow, to twig, to rock, etc. It takes a while for us to be reincarnated in human forms but because this earth is quite old and have been around for a very long time, we had many times to be reincarnated in human forms a few many times. However, being an old soul, it means I have been reincarnated in human forms not only many times, but much more times than an average human so basically right after another a few million times. ***Monk update Jan.2009 in Vancouver, BC Canada**************** Monk had pointed out that by practicing a herbivore lifestyle will grant us a higher chance of being reincarnated into human form than any other form especially animal because by eating animal products, you will harbour those animal energy permitting you to reincarnate as that particular animal or animals. Being a herbivore will reincarnate us more as a piece of grass or vegetable? Highly doubt it as Plant life are in a different plane of energy than human and animal forms. Plant life is a pre-mature of a full structure of the life tree. Animals and humans are full fledge top pyramid of life where we have graduated to the top of full growth. A Voice of Thunder In my studies, I have seen that the worlds vegetarian population is somewhere around 6 percent, bringing our little group to about 400,000,000 people worldwide. That is more than the population of most countries (including the United States of America). Yet like most of them we do not have a leader... we do not have a representative at the united nations, or embassador to convey our interests in world affairs... or any affairs for that matter. When 400,000,000 people cry out, their words become a spiraling hurricane hopes and dreams, roaring out of control like thunder. But when one person is chosen to take the stage, they become a leader; a voice for that ever-booming thunder. My question to you is this: Who would you choose to speak fo us? Who would you saddle atop that hurricane, and open the door for the future that we have been waiting for? Post Date: 04/04/10, Replies: 3
You must not kill any living being for the You must not kill any living being for the sake of your food. The killing is the greatest sin You must not kill any living being for the sake of your food. God has given enough vegetable food that contains all the ingredients present in the non-vegetarian food. After all, the source of ingredients of any flesh is only vegetable kingdom only. Eating the non-vegetarian food is not a sin because same ingredients exist in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. But, you have to kill a living being for the sake of non-vegetarian food. The killing is the greatest sin. You may argue that you have not killed the living being directly. Such argument cannot stand. Since you are eating the non-vegetarian food, the living being is killed. You are responsible for its killing. Therefore, you are the principle shareholder of the sin. There is nothing wrong if you eat a living being after its natural death. In Hinduism, there is a sect of people called ‘Kapalikas’, who eat the dead living beings. Therefore, they do not acquire sin. The tsunami is always due to anger of God since you are killing the living beings present in water for food. The earthquakes are due to killing of living beings that exist on the earth. God in the form of Buddha and Mahavir preached the non-violence and severely opposed the killing of living beings. God in some other human forms might have followed the practice of non-vegetarian food in order to join with non-vegetarian people so that, certain other higher aspects to be preached might have been taken into consideration. That does not mean that God has encouraged the killing of living beings through non-vegetarian food. He might have kept silent on this issue in order to give importance to other serious issues. God follows the ignorance of the students in order to become friendly with them. To control a running bull, you have to run along with it for some distance before controlling it. All these are the basic concepts of nivrutti, which are the core of pravrutti. By following the ethics of pravrutti, you will avoid God becoming furious with you. Then, through nivrutti, you can please God. On one hand, you are making God furious by not following the ethics of pravrutti and how can you please God through nivrutti simultaneously? www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace Post Date: 08/27/14, Replies: 3
Paradigm shift, using their own methods I think there needs to be a paradigm shift...You cannot battle the desire to eat meat with logic. I became a vegetarian a long time ago, but it was not logic that converted me, but my inner conscience. I think we need a new a approach. A paradigm shift. For example, when you turn on the TV, you are immediately bombarded with things like greed, feuding, and violence. There are always commercials for Arby's meat, junk food, and beef, to the point of desensitization. We need to infiltrate this. We need to replace these messages with positive, vegetarian messages, on a subliminal level, using their own mind control techniques to reverse the mental damage they have bestowed upon us. Spread the word, change is coming! Post Date: 01/10/16, Replies: 3
Food For the Gods I recently read a book Called "Food For the Gods". It discussed the concept of vegetarianism in various religions. I learned that many religious founders and leaders were vegetarian and a lot of religious texts have been changed by priests who ate meat. For example, it is sometimes told that Buddha died from eating undercooked meat when in fact it was a poisonous mushroom because he did not eat meat. It is also said that Jesus ate meat and fish when he was actually a vegetarian. Post Date: 02/04/14, Replies: 3

Vegetarian since i'm a yoga teacher I am vegetarian only since 6 months, since I did my Yoga Teacher Training course last summer. People already looked strange at me for using all of my vacation days on a yoga teacher training course. When I came back and told people I don't eat meat anymore, they looked at me like I have been brainwashed. People seem to have difficulties with spirituality, respect for nature, awareness, etc. I try not to let it bother me, but still, getting comments all the time is not nice.. Does anyone else have this problem? Post Date: 08/25/15, Replies: 3
Feelings abour animal cruelty Hello everyone, I'm new. I've been a vegetarian since October last year (wish it hadn't taken me so long) and I'm currently trying products to see how soon I could move to being vegan. I'm sure someone will have asked this before, but since you became vegetarian/vegan, have you found animal cruelty and neglect harder to process? The stories I read these days (for example just read about horses dying due to being randomly stabbed/set on fire) those just make me despair and not want to live in this world anymore. And it's not just stuff like that but also about cruelty in factory farming/slaughter houses etc., the list is endless. It's not like things didn't bother me before I was a vegetarian but now they just completely mess me up. I also started volunteering for my local rspca branch around the same time as becoming veggie so maybe that has something to do with it as I'm a bit more aware and more exposed to the results of cruelty/neglect. How do you deal with your feelings? Would welcome any tips for staying strong/remaining positive. Thank you x Post Date: 11/02/15, Replies: 3
Freethinkers A very long list of folks including Mary Wollenstonecraft, Frances Wright, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Voltairine de Cleyre, Barbara Ehrenreich, David Eller, Sigmund Freud, Ruth Hermence Green, Stephtn Jay Gould, Anne Nicole Gaylor, Tom Paine, John Adams, George Washington, Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Robert Ingersol, Charles Darwin, Nicolas Copernicus, Carl Sagan, John Stuart Mill, Ashley Montagu, Bertrand Russell, George Bernard Shaw, Clarence Darrow. Katherine Hepburn, Thomas Jefferson, Charlie Chaplin, Jonathan Balcombe and J. M. Masson, though generally religious in their early years, all described themselves later in life as atheists, agnostics, deists or freethinkers. They had little problem working alongside those choosing religious beliefs, - they didn't hate religion, they disliked the misdeeds and legacy of religion in general. Their "non-belief" didn't stop the from fighting for rights, including those of women, minorities, the environment. Many worked for the benefit of non-humans as well, even to the point of being vegetarians or vegans. These people were disparaged in their day, many even suffering physical attacks and imprisonment. What they professed was that they did not personally need any gods or goddesses to belief in freedom of speech, assembly, etc. Without these freethinkers we would not have accomplished what we have in the past in the arenas of peace and justice. I put many years (starting around the end of WW II) into religious study and evolved into a "freethinker". I've worked with Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and others. All I've ever asked from the religious is that they respect my right to free speech and perhaps consider my speaking and writing with an open mind. My philosophy is basically one of cooperation and unity, rather than "us and them" divisiveness. Post Date: 01/27/17, Replies: 3
With wisdom comes knowledge. With wisdom comes knowledge, with knowledge comes responsibility. In the days of the "Old Church" many laws were given for the believers to follow. They were, if I may use the term, "Baby Steps". Many of the laws of old we are not held accountable to today. With the coming of Christ and the death and Resurrection of Christ the world changed. And when the world changed many of the rules changed. The basics did not and will not ever change. That would basically be the Ten Commandments. But the law of baptism was establish. The laws of animal sacrifice change. Along with many others. In the days of the Old Church we had no twelve apostles, no Christ at the head of the Church. The Spirit of Christ, ( the Holy Ghost ) was not given as a constant companion to man. It was all a normal family could do to provide for their family to survive. There was only so much farmland a man could plow and plant and harvest. There was not the means of preserving the produce of the field that we have today. Using wild game and even some domestic animals to survive during the off season was an necessity. Even in the days of my grandfather and my father produce was not a commodity that could be relied upon during the off season. It is very easy to see why they hunted and subsidized their diets with meat draining the winter months. If you know anything of the old Celtic Tribes you will know that when they killed an animal to use it for food the would say a prayer for and to the animal. Giving thanks and reverence for the beast giving it's all for the survival of the human. The eating of meat has been ingrained into the human for thousands of years. I can see without question how they justified the killing and eating of the beast. In today's world of produce being shipped around the world and delivered fresh a hemisphere away from the field is was grown in we have a greater wisdom and knowledge than they did just a few years ago. My parents did not have the advantage of fresh Santa Claws Melons, and Juan Canary Melons in the middle of the winter as I have. And what fresh produce they did have to select from in the dead of winter was comparative very expensive when measured by today's standards. I can eat fresh fruit twelve month out of the year and find relatively reasonable prices on it. I can have corn on the cob any time I want it. My parents did not have that luxury just fifty years ago when I was a wee lad. I remember just how much my mom and dad really splurged to give me fresh oranges for Christmas every year. As we see the world today and realize that the "Need" for killing animals for food and to survive is drawing to an end it is well that we teach others this principle with respect and understand just as the Christ of the New Testament thought others. One will not unteach the tradition and teaching of the past that have survived for thousands of years over night. One will not teach these gentle truths by beating others into submission. If we are to teach and gain converts we must teach with patience and long suffering. We must have the forbearance and restraint to teach a new way of life. We have gained the wisdom of a "New World". With that wisdom we have gained knowledge. With that knowledge we have gained a responsibility to "Teach" a new way of life. "Teach" being the operative word. One does not teach by force. But by gentle persuasion. One of the greatest gifts that Christ gave to us is "Free Will". If we seek to take away this free will that Christ has given then are we standing not with Christ, but against him? The Ten Commandments yet stand, but Christ will not force anyone to obey these commandments. He will teach, He will persuade, He will lead and teach what is right and correct. He will do not more. He will not take away the free will he has given. Nor do I believe should we. With wisdom comes knowledge, with knowledge comes responsibility. We have a responsibility to "teach". ( this is just my thoughts ) Thank you all. Quasi Post Date: 09/13/12, Replies: 2
Be Spiritual to realize God within you God is present everywhere and in the heart of every living being. Some attributes that belong to divine include purity, honesty, forgiveness, kindness and calmness. If god lies in everyone, every person should exhibit such characteristics but in reality there are very few people who are blessed with such divine qualities. These people are spiritually enlightened and as they are close to god. But unfortunately majority of the people are different to these spiritual beings as they have never experienced godliness within them. As a result they suffer from problems like lack of concentration, anxiety, stress, haste and sleeplessness. Even these suffering people can realize god within them through meditation and spirituality. Spirituality takes you closer to your soul which lies deep within you just like god. You are required to learn meditation to achieve power to reach deep inside you. Meditation requires you to concentrate on your breadth. A lot of people whose concentration is very poor find it somewhat difficult to concentrate on their breadth. For such people active meditation technique of Osho works really well. As active meditation technique involves people to remain active by indulging in activities like dancing, stretching exercise, singing in communion and so on. These techniques are easy to learn for everyone and make it possible for them to reach closer to god. Post Date: 03/19/09, Replies: 2

Me Performing 100 Yoga Poses www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5SH4wNZmtU Hi everyone! I was originally inspired to try yoga through the yoga charts and yoga videos that I saw on-line, so I decided to make a YouTube video in hopes of inspiring some more people to get into yoga :) I perform 100 different postures in this video and I also provide the names of all 100 poses so it will hopefully be educational as well as inspirational ;) I want to say that I strongly believe that promoting yoga is an overlooked way of promoting veganism! (Show me the person who has been doing yoga on a regular basis for years who still eats Big Macs and hotdogs, or who's an alcoholic, or who feels that they have "enemies" in this world.) When you get into yoga you become aware of a certain concept which is usually referred to as, "What goes around comes around." and you quikly realize that if it is your desire to have peace and happiness in your life you should never intentionally prevent others from having peace and happiness in theirs and many yogis understand that this concept goes for innocent animals as well, and even those yogis that do still eat meat they are probably eating FAR less than the average person. (When a person gets into yoga they just tend to gravitate towards more of a plant based diet.) In so many other forms of fitness (especially bodybuilding and virtually any form of "competitive" sport" out there) there is such a strong belief by many who are involved in them that they need to eat lots and lots of protein because they are athletes and they workout, but again, show me the person who says "I do yoga so I have to eat meat in order to get enough protein..." I can´t imagine someone actually saying and meaning that... I also want to say that almost half of these poses are poses that I just came up with when filming this project. I've been doing yoga for years and have never really thought of new poses before, but for some reason once I started this project I was thiking of new yoga poses without even trying to and I was happening so often that I kept waking up in the middle of the night and turning the light on so I could draw poses that were just popping up in my mind. I hope that some of these new poses will find their way into yoga charts, yoga classes, and individual person's routines. For anyone curious, the yoga poses in this video that I came up with were... * King Lotus Pose * Medievel Pose * Frozen Lotus * Walrus Pose * Baby Dragon In Egg Pose * Flower Blooming Pose * Seashell Pose * Yin Yang Pose 1 * Yin Yang Pose 2 * God Pose * Devil Pose * Upsidedown Goddess Pose * Balance Pose * Tangled Roots Pose * Tangled Roots Leaning Towards The Sun Pose * Tangled Tip Toe Pose * Intense Stretch On Tip Toes * Wheel Pose On Fingers And Toes * Bow And Arrow Pose 2 * Warrior Pose 4 * Lightning Headstand * Temple Pose * Straightjacket Pose * Corpse Pose In Rigor Mortis * Head To Knee Pose Intense Stretch * Master Of Puppets Pose * Standing On Your Hands While Doing A Backbend * Headstand In Hell Pose * Fight Or Flight Pose * Caught In A Web Pose * Severed Limbs Pose * Space Travel Pose * Infinity And Beyond Pose * Unicorn Pose * Sun Worship Pose * One Hand Pose * Energy Circulation Pose * Mosquito Pose * Standing Hands To The Floor With Arms Crossed * X Handstand * Balancing Diamond Pose * Castle Drawbridge Pose * Once Continuous One Pose * Court Jester Headstand I almost don´t feel right saying that I ¨thought¨ of these poses, because there was absolutely no thinking involved. They just showed up in my mind and since I performed them the best that I could. The vegan diet has completely transformed my life and this video is just one example of the many transformations that I have experienced all while being 100 vegan. Post Date: 05/26/15, Replies: 2
Working with others I've been an atheist for even longer than I've been a vegetarian/vegan. I think atheism and the questioning mind it promotes played a role in my education about animal issues. Some folks choose to build a wall between atheists and believers that cannot be breached. I've had the pleasure of working with Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Jains, Hindus and others in my animal rights efforts. I include quite a number of "believers" among my most important teachers. The fact that we don't always agree has not stopped me from appreciating and benefitting from the views of religious folks as well as atheists. People who build walls have less time for building bridges. Post Date: 11/04/16, Replies: 2
