| London Review's I just "added up" Happycow's listings for London, England. There are now 100+ restaurants / cafe's listed - a few are listed as stores but they have cafe's also. Now I can see all of my favorites! What a fabulous city London is! The London area is much easier to navigate now that it is broken up into 7 clearly defined area's. PLEASE guys remember to Review more places / update older Review's after you revisit & munch. There must be another 50+ great restaurants / markets / stores to add. | Looking for places and people to visit! Hello! Travel is frequently on my mind and I'm often reading, doing online research or simply daydreaming about places that I'd like to visit. So far my travels have taken me through much of the US of A with some short jaunts north into Canada (mostly Vancouver City and parts of Vancouver Island) and south into Mexico (mostly in Sonora). I travel a lot less often these days and want to make the trips I do take really count so I'm putting more thought into why I travel & what makes the experience the most rewarding for me. A conclusion I've reached is that my travel experience tends to be greatly enhanced by connecting with friendly local folks. Ideally these are people passionate about where they live who desire to share what makes them love where they are with visitors like me. This, my dear reader, is where I hope that you'll come in to the picture! I'd love to hear from any of you who think that where you are is a wonderful place to be and would be willing to show me around if I ever happen to make it there! Or maybe you're not so into the area you call home but you'd still like to have a fellow vegan stop through for a visit? If either of those descriptions apply to you, or even perhaps if they do not, please write up as short or long of a post as you'd like and tell me why you think I'd be missing it out if my path did not cross with your own one day! ps. I've left out what I look for in places I travel to in the hopes that as many people as possible will respond to this. I certainly have my preferences - I also remain open to new & different experiences and possibilities than those I would most likely choose on my own! Post Date: 01/20/11, Replies: 3 | ||

| Mama Mia - Redford Michigan Hello All, I just wanted to inform you metro-detroit locals that we have been going to Mama Mia (Redford Michigan) for several years now ordering their yummy pizza without cheese. Just last night my wife and I decided to bring our own vegan cheese into the restaurant and ask them to use that instead of going cheeseless. They were happy to do so and I just wanted to leave a note to people around the area that they were very generous and did not flintch at all at our request. It is a small family owned (assumed) restaurant that is great for a down and quick italian dinner. cheap and very good. Below are the details about the restaurant: Mama Mia 19385 Beech Daly Road, Redford, MI (313) 537-0740‎ Post Date: 12/04/09, Replies: 1 | ||

| nepal Nepal. This is where the idea of vegetarianism first took hold with me, the first place where i had a full day without eating meat. they also don't eat cow milk products and the effects on thier skin and not looking thier age shows that the lack of the DAILY INTAKE of toxins and the necessary attempt at flushing them out by the skin and liver associated with these persistant.ozonic, not sure if this is the right word.pollutants makes on thier daily quality of life. the scenery in nepal is something that is not exsounged by the houche culture reliant, norm sponsored- finance driven travel agent industry or its subsideries but it must be seen to be believed. It is the first place where i actually seen a banana tree and driving the sometimes risky roads amoung these huge spiralling green valleys has cause to be endemic. katmandu amoung its half carved out tree half atrium to wandering smells of incence from out of street stall cultures you'll find late night casinos and bakeries you never thought could have existed. A mixture of spiritual ideas that will leave you anything but unchanged and temples that are arranged around naturalistic beauty horizons and that has shaped the area around them since thier inception. Every first en third sunday of the month we serve a 100% vegan organic three course meal for only five euro's. | New Vegetarian in a New Country! I need some help! I am a brand new vegetarian and have just accepted a job in Machida (near Tokyo) Japan! I have already read the list of vegetarian friendly restaurants in Tokyo, but I can't eat every meal at a restaurant! My main concern is that I will not be able to find much organic produce over there without going broke! I am looking for any tips or suggestions on how I can get enough fresh fruits and vegetables over there. If you know any organic markets, grocery stores, or farms etc. around the Tokyo area, please let me know! Post Date: 02/01/08, Replies: 0 |
