Hawaii "Luau" or show I'm headed to Honolulu and Maui in December and since it's my kids first time I'd love for them to see a typical hawaiian dance and flame show, but for (hopefully) obvious reasons don't want to go to a typical Luau. Does anyone know of any good shows we could go to on Oahu or Maui? Thanks :) Post Date: 03/25/13, Replies: 1

SEVILLA, Spain Hi, I am visiting the city for the day soon and would like to know where all the cool bars (for coffee) and shops (vintage/ secondhand clothes/ books/ music) are, within walking distance of the bus station. Also I would like to get in touch with any vegetarians/ vegans who live in Sevilla and might wish to visit the Sierra de Aracena some time and meet up. Phil Post Date: 02/26/13, Replies: 0

Vegan Volunteering in India I'm so happy to share my experience as a vegan volunteer in India. I'm a 24-year-old vegan working in Sadhana Forest, India, a strictly and compassionately vegan volunteer community. I've looked all over the world for a place like this, so I'm trying to spread the word to my fellow veggies. Please come visit! It's honestly a vegan dream come true. We're looking for vegans!, tree-planters, vegan food-preparers, unschooling leaders, yogis, meditators, compost know-it-alls, permaculturalists, animal lovers, people-persons, and generally happy travelers looking for a place to volunteer to help us with our reforestation efforts. We're trying to replant 70 acres with an endangered dry evergreen forest. We offer free accommodation for our volunteers! The food is organic and fresh, and the electricity is solar-powered. You can read my review of it by looking for Sadhana Forest under Pondicherry, India. For more information, please see our website: www.sadhanaforest.org I sincerely hope to meet you soon :) Post Date: 11/27/12, Replies: 4

Our trip summary - honeymoon in Costa Rica So we're back from a vacation of a lifetime. Thanks for the comments and for the help. First, Lands in love resort. 100% vegetarian / vegan place with great vibes. So many dishes to choose from and such an unbelievable location in the cloud forest. We did zip lines, canyoning, horseback riding and rafting over there, our guides Ufredo , Freddie and Joel were so nice and professional, we also took day trips to the Volcano and wild refuge Cano Negro (took excellent lunch boxes). One of the nicest things about this place is the fact that Alon the tour desk guy can recommend on other locations, so we took the information we gathered before coming and he put everything in order. www.landsinlove.com/ Mnauel Antonio is a must!!! Heaven on earth, beautiful beach, nice rain forest and tones of monkeys. Go to eat there at Si Como No restaurant www.sicomono.com/, it has many vegetarian options, we didn't stay there it was out of our budget so we stayed at hotel Espadilla close to the NP. While there go to the national park - Efrain from Manuel Antonio Tico Tours should be your guide, he was born in the park and does a great tour and also do the Rafa monkey guy, the highlight of the trip, the guy talks with his amigos, the monkeys and they come to his boat, tones of them  We've been also to Corcovado – what a place, nature at his best, so many animals, it was overwhelming, we stayed in hotel Aguila De Osa the owner there Bradd was so nice that just made our stay even better. www.aguiladeosa.com/ One tip, go to Sirene part of the national park, that's more inside and you get to see more animals. That's it for now , it was a honeymoon to remember, once in a lifetime Post Date: 08/28/12, Replies: 0

Canadian vegan on a round the world trip I have been vegetarian for 19 years and fhe last 2.5 vegan. My husband and I (both vegan) started a round the world trip in January. I have been blogging and posting photos along the way. We've been to some great veg places too. Before this trip we've travelled to all the continents, including Antarctica. If you would like to check out our travels see my blog voyagevixen.blogspot.com Post Date: 07/29/12, Replies: 1
Anaheim, California - Angel Stadium Planning a trip to Angel Stadium this fall. PETA just named it one of the top 10 stadiums for *vegetarian* food. Anyone know if there's vegan food at the stadium? The website is not informative at all menu-wise I HATE ordering something and telling them "leave off the cheese, meat, dressing, mayo etc..." so I try to go only to vegan places, not veg friendly. Or should I just have an early dinner at Loving Hut? :) Post Date: 07/16/12, Replies: 0

Vegan Dining in Durango Colorado? Hi folks! I'll be staying in the Durango, Colorado area for a week this summer. We are renting a house so we'll be doing a lot of our own cooking. Happy Cow lists a few natural food stores where we'll definitely stock up on provisions. But I'd love to hear of any vegan-friendly restaurants in the area for when we need a break from the kitchen. I'm totally open on cuisine, fancy/not fancy, etc. Thank you! Post Date: 06/30/12, Replies: 0

Vegan Living in Portland, Oregon Hi folks, I'm hoping to spend some time studying animal rights law in Portland, Oregon over the summer and was just wondering if there's any veg*an accommodation opportunities you're aware of? I know Portland's famous for its DIY culture and I'd be very flexible in that respect; basically the cheaper the better! Even if you have some links or leads I'd really appreciate it. I'd also really appreciate any tips on which neighborhoods to live in. Thanks in advance! Andrew Post Date: 04/15/12, Replies: 0
