| Should I see a doctor ? - vegan Hi, I am vegan since April, and I'd like to know if it is better to see a doctor so I could speak about what I eat or should eat (because of vitamines, B12 and so on...). So I'd like your advice !! Thanks a lot :) Post Date: 05/15/16, Replies: 6 | ||
| Vegan and Staying Fit Hello all! I am attempting to go and maintain veganism for the 3rd time now. I've also tried vegetarian, but I end up eating nothing but eggs and cheese. I am a former bikini competitor, which is the feminine realm of body building. As such, I basically brain washed myself into following IIFYM and counting my protein/carbs/fats CONSTANTLY. I don't know how to get out of this, but I want to make a change. Has anyone else here switched to veganism and still maintained the lean, toned look? I don't know how. Everytime I've tried I end up looking "fluffy" and losing strength and endurance. However, for ethical and health reasons, it is very important to me to practice and plant based diet. Thank you in advance Post Date: 02/14/16, Replies: 6 | ||
| Endometriosis and other lady issues Hi there, Ive recently gone vegan for both health and ethical reasons. I suffer with really bad endometriosis and also have had a severe ovarian cyst which ended up with me having 2 surgeries this year one in January and one in April. I decided to go vegan firstly in the hope that it would help balance my hormones but also in my research I watched some documentaries - Vegucated, food inc and a few others which really opened my eyes and now I couldn't an animal product again. So what I'm asking is has anybody else gone vegan to help with endometriosis? Has it helped? Ive heard that soy messes with your hormones so should I avoid this and what can i eat as an alternative? Ive been vegan for 6 weeks now and I'm still experiencing quite bad pain, If going vegan does help balance hormones and helps endometriosis how long would it be before I feel better? Thanks Post Date: 06/28/16, Replies: 6 | ||

| Why Is Maple Syrup In So Many Recipes? I've noticed that pure maple syrup is used in many recipes for baked goods instead of sugar or sugar substitutes. I am trying to cut sugar out of my diet (except for natural sugar that's in fruit). I assume that maple syrup has a high number of grams of sugar in it (I don't have any in the house for a bottle to look at nutritional info) Anyway, I wouldn't think that maple syrup is good for you, am I correct? Any recommendations for other sweeteners (other than Splenda or Stevia) that are very, very low in the amount (grams) of sugar that they contain? Post Date: 02/25/08, Replies: 5 | ||

| BUSTED! Top Vegan Nutrition Myths Great article today on the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nil-zacharias/vegan-nutrition-myths_b_949288.html Gloria Steinem summed up one of the challenges of life very well when she said, "The first problem for all of us, men and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn." This quote rings especially true when it comes to what we choose to eat. Our food choices are influenced by a range of factors that make it almost impossible to entertain change. Growing up, I was told that I needed to consume dairy for calcium, eat meat to get strong and fish to get smart. Imagining food without animal products on my plate seemed almost unimaginable. However, I always felt a sense of nagging unease about my food choices -- what if everything I knew about food and nutrition was wrong? What if I truly had no valid justifications for choosing to consume animal products? What began as a path of unlearning -- about taste, tradition and nutrition -- ultimately culminated in me choosing a vegan lifestyle. But unlearning in the age of information means having to sift through an avalanche of Internet articles discussing conflicting scientific reports and marketing propaganda (often indistinguishable from each other) that are largely fueled by billion dollar industries whose bottom lines depend on our uninformed food choices. Some anti-vegan rhetoric is delivered with so much conviction that, at times, I still have difficulty separating fact from fiction. The problem, however, is that the longer you let myths go unchallenged, the greater is their ability to masquerade as truths. So, I decided to put my mind (and hopefully the minds of many others) at ease by reaching out to One Green Planet's expert community and getting their input on the top vegan nutrition myths. This is what I uncovered in my discussions with some prominent voices in the plant-based nutrition space: 1. Is it true that plant protein is inherently inferior to animal protein? Brenda Davis, RD and co-author of "Becoming Raw": In reality, people have no greater need for animal protein than do gorillas or elephants, both of whom have far bigger muscles than we do, yet are plant eaters. It comes as a surprise for people to learn that essential amino acids are made by plants, not by animals. We can get them from animals, but somewhere along the food chain they originally came from plants. Generally, if vegans eat a variety of plant foods (legumes, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits and grains) and consume sufficient calories, protein needs will be met. However, if protein intakes are marginal, legumes become especially important. 2. Do I need calcium from dairy products to maintain strong bones? Joseph Keon, nutritionist and author of "Whitewash: The Disturbing Truth about Cow's Milk and Your Health": Milk offers no guarantee of protection from bone fracture while at the same time burdens the body with additional saturated fat and cholesterol, hormones and growth factors and, frequently, antibiotic residues. Millions of people the world over maintain fracture-resistant bones into their seventh and even eighth decade of life by consuming calcium largely from plant sources. The calcium we need may be easily obtained from leafy greens, vegetables, fruits, legumes and some nuts and seeds. 3. Should I be worried about B12 deficiency? Vesanto Melina, RD and co-author of "Becoming Raw": B12 originates from bacteria, not animal products. The reason this nutrient cannot be obtained from plant-foods is because of our sanitary methods of food production. In contrast, meat eaters obtain vitamin B12 that is produced by bacteria present in the flesh of the animals. This lack in sanitary plant foods does not mean that all vegans are deficient in this nutrient, because they can easily obtain the recommended levels of B12 via foods that are fortified with B12 (non-dairy milks, soyfoods, veggie "meats" and breakfast cereals) or via B12 supplements. In fact, all people over the age of 50, on any diet, are advised to use fortified foods or supplements as their B12 sources, as these forms are better absorbed by many seniors than the B12 from animal products. Many seniors develop deficiency of vitamin B12 due to diminished intestinal absorption. Like people on any diet, vegans simply need to make sure they have a reliable source of this essential nutrient. 4. Can I get adequate amounts of Omega-3 fats without consuming fish oil? Ginny Messina, MPH, RD and co-author of "Vegan for Life": Vegans aren't at higher risk for heart disease than people who eat fish, but many experts suggest erring on the side of a little insurance by supplementing, especially for those who suffer from depression. Vegans who want to include DHA and EPA in their diets can get it the same way fish do, which is from algae. In fact, from an environmental perspective, it makes sense for everyone to choose algae-derived supplements over fish oil. 5. As a vegan, don't I have to consume too much soy to meet my nutritional needs? Lauri Boone, RD and raw food nutritionist: You don't need to fill your plate with tofu or other soyfoods for your diet to be nutritionally complete. Soyfoods -- which include tofu, tempeh, edamame, and soymilk, among others -- certainly provide a simple way for vegans to meet their protein needs. But you can easily obtain all of the essential amino acids -- along with fiber, antioxidants, minerals and phytochemicals -- your body needs by eating a variety of grains and legumes each day. Add to that a few servings of nuts and seeds and plenty of fresh vegetables, and you will begin to see how easy it is to get all of the nutrients your body needs -- with or without soy. However, if you are going to consume soy, choose organic soyfoods to ensure that the soy you consume is not genetically modified and is not grown using pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals. 6. While vegan diets may be okay for adults, aren't they unsafe for infants and children? Reed Mangels, PhD, RD, LDN and co-author of "Simply Vegan": Babies and children grow and develop normally on vegan diets and can have significant health advantages -- vegan children often eat more fruits and vegetables, are typically leaner and don't develop a taste for meat, dairy products and eggs -- foods that are linked to health problems later in life. As all parents should know, it is important to give children the nutrients they need. For parents of young vegans, this means making sure that infants' and children's diets have good sources of vitamin B12, iron, zinc, calcium, vitamin D, protein and enough calories to support growth. To round up my discussion on vegan nutrition, I chatted with Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University, co-author of the best-selling book, "The China Study" and most recently featured in the documentary "Forks over Knives" about his No. 1 tip for maintaining good health and preventing disease. According to him, "The consumption of whole plant-based foods is the best strategy for health maintenance and disease prevention. Wholeness means foods having the natural proportions of nutrients and nutrient-like chemicals. As a consequence, the whole effect is greater than the sum of its parts -- thus allowing for the countless natural biological interactions to take place." So there you have it: not only is a plant-based (vegan) diet not restrictive in terms of providing us with adequate nutrition, but if we also focus on a diet rich in whole plant-based foods, getting the right nutrients and maintaining good health should be the least of our concerns! Thanks to the great work of these experts, it turns out the unlearning curve for vegan nutrition is no longer as steep and treacherous as it was in the past. | Anybody know the long-term effects of MSG? Does anybody know the long-term health effects of everyday consumption of MSG on the human body? Here is my situation: I have been living in Taiwan, and the more I look, the more I realize MSG is tossed into nearly everything. I even saw a tv commercial for msg yesterday. I am currently living in a buddhist temple that cooks strict vegetarian meals, but the cook insists on putting msg into every dish. I have tried asking her not to put it in, but she insists that she has to because people will complain if they don't taste it. My question is whether or not I should cause a huge stink about it, and hope they will change their ways, or is it ok for me to eat it 2X a day for the next 3 months? (I am leaving after that). Or should I refuse to eat with them and cook my own food if they still refuse to stop putting msg in everything? Thanks! Post Date: 05/19/09, Replies: 5 | ||
| rash because of vegetarianism??? hi! a friend of mine changed for being vegetarian some years ago. after being that for a while he broke out in a rash. red spots started to cover his body everywhere! first he thought he was alergic to his new bought cats, but when he didn`t know what to do anymore, he tried to eat meat again-and the rash disappeared for good. desperately wanting to be vegetarian he tried again now.And again the rash shoed up on his arms! what could the reason be? is there something missing in his diet? unfortunately he doesn`t trust doctors and doesn`t want to take bloodsamples so it is hard to check. but does anybody know what to do??? thanks so much for help! | Why sunscreen and cream are bad for you Hi all, Last week, a friend of mine told me that sunscreen and moisturizer are actually unnecessary and do more harm than good. She said that they actually CAUSE skin cancer rather than prevent it, which is why so many Americans have it nowadays, even though they use sunblock or sunscreen. She also said that the chemicals used in most moisturizing creams are bad for your skin. I always felt this way too, since the Oil of Olay moisturizing cream I put on my face feels so sticky and uncomfortable on my skin, and made my skin feel like it can't breathe. So I found it odd that so many people were recommending it, including skin care professionals. I also have started having frequent pimple outbreaks after using facial moisturizing cream. Once I stopped using facial creams, the acne stopped as well. Gee thanks Momopi, for recommending this standard skin care regiment that caused me so many acne problems, which I didn't have before. (sarcastic tone) Thanks for believing everything the skin care industry tells us without question or critical thought. Razz. I hope that now, you realize the downsides of what you were told, and its potential harmful effects and bad chemicals. Now let's look at some basic logic here: - Humans have been fine without sunscreen and facial moisturizers for thousands of years, without having any skin cancer problems. So why the hell is it a necessity nowadays when it wasn't for thousands of years? This logic fallacy is huge and not addressed by the skin care industry. - How is it that humans began having skin cancer when sunblock was invented, but they didn't have it before? That should speak volumes right there. - Humans have evolved under the sun for millions of years, so why is the sun now a dangerous thing that you have to protect against with sunscreen? The sun is the source of life and provides vitamin D for your skin. The worse it can do to you is give you a sunburn or dehydrate you. A sunburn is like a chemical peel, and not harmful at all. Kids get it all the time. It's not lethal. - How come the blacks in Africa who don't use sunscreen don't get skin cancer, but black Americans who do use sunscreen get skin cancer? That right there speaks volumes. Anyway, my facial skin has been a lot better since I stopped putting moisturizing cream on it, and using organic soap without bad chemicals on it. People like Momopi would say that I was using the wrong moisturizer and that I should keep trying others until my acne outbreaks stop. But come on, get real. There are thousands of facial moisturizers out there. I can't just buy all of them and try them every week like a wild goose chase. Besides, I don't have a dry skin problem. In fact, my face is usually oily. So what's the point of using a moisturizer anyway? Why go through all the trouble? It doesn't make sense! I don't get why highly intelligent and educated people like Momopi lack critical thinking skills when it comes to believing whatever we are told by corrupt sources. My friend told me that there is a conspiracy between the skin care industry that sells sunscreen and the cancer industry that profits from it. So you'd best avoid them both altogether. My intuition felt that she was right, based on my experience and gut feeling, as well as the basic logic points outlined above. What do you all think? Have we all been duped regarding sunscreen and facial moisturizers? Here are some articles I found that suggest that sunscreen can actually cause skin cancer and do more harm than good. One of them is even by NBC. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/28796417/ns/health-skin_and_beauty/t/does-sunscreen-save-skin-or-damage-it/ http://www.naturalnews.com/001264.html http://taraariano.com/moisturizer-the-big-lie/ http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/sunscreen-giving-you-cancer.htm http://www.thebetterhealthstore.com/Newsletter/062510_Sunscreen_01.html http://inhabitat.com/study-suggests-that-sunscreen-could-cause-skin-cancer/ http://www.aolnews.com/2010/05/24/study-many-sunscreens-may-be-accelerating-cancer/ If you Google "moisturizers cause acne" you will get many hits as well. | Binge Eating Hi! As the title suggests, I've been developing that problem for almost 8 months now after I've become vegetarian or semi vegan now. I wonder why that happened since I never had any eating problems before. I can still maintain my weight and health by following raw foodism this far, but I can go back to vegetarianism because of binging. Does anyone have tips to break free from this? Thanks in advance. | Vegan Skincare and Cosmetics I think the easy way (and probably the only way) to transition into vegetarian is to gradually find comparable vegetarian alternatives to foods and every day products. I opened a kickstarter to start an affordable vegan, handmade, and organic skincare and cosmetics company. I have a few products, but I would love to get a full range of products to put out. | Veg College Athlete - the Protein ? So you've probably heard this question asked a billion times before. I'm sorry for asking it again, but this is a big concern among my friends and family. I run cross country and track in college. 4-6 miles 6 days a week, strength training 3 days a week. I need my diet to be about 20-30% protein to stay healthy, maintain my current muscle, and build more muscle. I know this is totally achievable on a veg diet, but I'm a little stuck on the How? question. What are some meatless sources of protein that I can eat every day to ensure that I'm getting enough? | Olive oil Hi Everybody, I have been lurking on the forum for a little while, and reading your posts with interest. As I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, I have very little to offer in the sense of advice. However I am concerned what foodstuffs I consume, and it is also very important form my 7 year old son as he has allergies to certain additives found in Supermarket food. We are lucky enough to live in Spain, where fresh produce can be found on the daily market in the town we live in. As you probably all know one of the most important ingredients of the Mediterranean diet is olive oil, and that is what I was getting to. I work for a small family business, in which we produce our own extra virgin olive oil (and also related products, but more of that later in my story). We produce four varietals of olive oil, two of which are certified organic. And I was thinking that they might appeal to the members of this community. The first one is Wild Organic from the first cold extraction. Don't let the word extraction fool you, we get the oil from the olives solely by mechanical means, and in this case by centrifuge after the olives have been crushed. The second is our Wild Organic from the stone mill. Yes, this oil is indeed crushed on an authentic stone olive mill, and is pressed by a hydraulic press. As mentioned before , we also produce other products i.e. soap, both cream soap and solid soap, which are made from only one fat source, Extra Virgin olive oil. We use a process called super-fatting, which means that the resulting soap contains olive oil that has not partaken in the saponification process. This ensures that all the lye is used, and that the soap contains very small amounts of olive oil to moisturize the skin. I'm sure everyone on these forums knows the health benefits of good quality olive oil, but if you want to learn more, head over to our website, where in the section "Information of Interest" there is a wealth of educational material. I am in a position to offer the members of this community a discount of 15% if you wish to purchase any of our products, and you can get the discount by using the code "happycow2015". I am not going to time limit the coupon code, so use it at your leisure, and by all means give it to anyone who is looking for good quality olive oil. A distant cousin of our family who lives in California, takes care of shipping our products in the US and Canada, so delivery is usually somewhere between 2-5 days. Anyway, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this post, and if anyone has any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them. Kindest regards, David Johnston, www.solivera.com Post Date: 10/26/15, Replies: 5 | ||
| Lost and looking for direction Hi, I'm brand new here and hope I'm in the right forum. I signed up today because my son has been talking to me about wanting to live full vegan, but we have a problem that our nutritionist doesn't seem to be able to wrap her head around. My son is allergic to nuts, beans and all legumes including peanuts and soybeans, and through trial and error we've discovered he's got numerous gluten sensitivities. Wheat and its cousins all cause stomach upset, and he can semi-tolerate oats. Most seeds seem to be okay, so there's that at least. My question is, what in God's name is he supposed to be able to eat to give both adequate protein and variety? We've given up completely on anything remotely processed from the store because everything has nuts or soy. Specifically, we're trying to find recipes that don't end with the concoction tasting like fish flavored cardboard made out of rotted grass. One can only add so much spirulina before it starts to taste like regurgitated sea floor, and while chia and hemp seeds help the protein a little, again too much to get the right combo and adequate amount ends with the product tasting terrible (not to mention bowel irritation). I know there's got to be things I've either overlooked or never heard of that someone has to have experience with. Thank you to any that can help. Post Date: 10/06/15, Replies: 5 | ||

| new vegan and constipated?? hi. I'm a new vegan, it's been about 2 months. when I first went vegan i was really bloated and it sucked. after that my digestion was amazing and I had 2-3 bowel movements a day. for the last 2 weeks or so I've been kind of constipated. my stool is soft but they're tiny and hard to push out. i can also see what I ate like it didn't get digested. I eat enough, I drink lots of water, and I exercise pretty hard 5 days a week. I avoid processed foods and fatty foods, including oil. I have a lot of fiber in my diet, I think I might even be getting too much. I'm very fatigued and gassy. sometimes my lower back hurts and I get dizzy and nauseous. I'm very tired of it so I would really really appreciate some advice (: Post Date: 05/21/16, Replies: 5 | ||

| Cancer The Shocking Truth 1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size. 2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime. 3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours. 4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors. 5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system. 6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow,gastro-intestinaltract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc. 7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs. 8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumour size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumour destruction. 9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications. 10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites. 11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply. CANCER CELLS FEED ON: a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Mänuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts.Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt. b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened Soya milk cancer cells are being starved. c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and Meat also contains live stock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer. d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including beansprouts)and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it. 12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic build-up. 13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells. 14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence,Essiac,anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells. 15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life. 16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells. | GREAT LIVER CLEANSER BEETROOT The vegetable that I most strongly recommend for general health improvement and especially for those with cancer is beetroot. The purple pigment has been shown to increase and normalise cell respiration - the oxygen-based energy production within cells. Thus beetroot is one of the key foods in preventing as well as curing cancer. It is equally important in the treatment of other degenerative diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome that are all characterised by reduced cell respiration. .The active ingredient in beetroot is called betacyanin with two carbonyl groups (C=0-). What happens when cellular energy is produced through the oxidation of nutrients is that electrons and hydrogen ions are transferred onto the inhaled oxygen to produce water and energy. In cancer cells and with chronic fatigue the respiratory enzymes that accomplish this transfer have been diminished or destroyed. The colour pigment in beetroot (and other purple food) strongly binds electrons and hydrogen and with this can reactivate the production of cellular oxidative energy. Seeger and others (1990) have shown that the respiration of cancer cells can be completely normalised by a combination of beetroot, raw fermented food and vitamin C. The multiplication of cancer cells would thus stop, and tumours become non-virulent. Clinical tests using beetroot with cancer patients revealed that often tumours regressed and disappeared. Therefore use plenty of beetroot grated in salads, juiced and cooked; also the residue from juicing may be cooked. Occasionally a small root may leave an acrid aftertaste. Taste suspect roots before making salads or juice; cooking them is fine, and beet tops may be cooked also. Tinned beetroot has lost most of its pigments and is of little value.Beetroot may be available only seasonally. You may store a larger quantity in moist sand. Keep the tops exposed in a cool, shaded place with just enough moisture to prevent drying out. After a good root system has developed you may also let them continue to grow in a sandy and well drained soil, neither too wet nor too dry to avoid rotting or mould development, check frequently. | Superfood Drink for weight loss/high blood looking for a superfood drink recipe... thinking about hemp protein powder and spirulina for a good base...is this advisable? I need some ideas for a good recipe I can use everyday! I have hypertension so I'm wondering if the spirulina would overpower my system, or would it be a good thing? | Please don't make same mistake I made I was so healthy and I always bragging about my health for many years but recently, I wake up several times at night to go bathroom to urinate. There are many natural remedies for old people who are suffering from same problem I am suffering. Many people found solution to this problem by eating pumpkin seeds or pumpkin seeds extract with soy. Few weeks ago, I ordered pumpkin seeds from www.ohnuts.com and ate almost one package of seeds (one package = one pound) in few days. Guess what? After I finish eating these pumpkin seeds, I start having horrible bloating. When I checked ingredients, canola oil and or cotton seeds oil are part of ingredients. Canola oil and cotton seeds oils are from genetically modified plants and heavily splayed with pesticide. I really start worrying about my health after I consumed pumpkin seeds from above company knowing nobody knows for sure exactly what kind of negative effect on my health. It is so scarly about consumption of Genetically Modified food we eat but knowing so many foods contain wheat, soy, corn, canola and cotton seeds oil, etc, it is so difficult for us to avoid foods conatain GMO. Please read ingredients before you buy foods and avoid GMO as much as you can. [email protected] [email protected] Post Date: 02/04/11, Replies: 4 |
