COLLABORATION - Your Opinion Matters Hi everyone :) I am developing now my master thesis and I am conducting a pilot study at this moment. Because I am very concern about environmental issues, this research is something that I care now the most! It will be a blast to have your opinion in my study :) I want perspectives of loving and caring animal/environmental people! It takes less than 5 minutes! https://ucplbusiness.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cGU3yenywm3lqKh Thank you so much!! Post Date: 03/28/16, Replies: 0
Colorado animal activists? :D Im kind of in desperate need of animal activists in Colorado. I went vegan like 4 months ago and i don't know any ethical vegans whatsoever. I joined some groups but the kind of activism they do is simply hold up signs and stuff. I want more straight to the point and blunt activists but its hard when you know like 0 vegans. Non vegans are also welcome, but i am a preachy vegan. So be warned. :D Im also sprry if i posted this in the wrong place, i just joined. But this site seems kind of laid back. Escape the Cold! Live-In Vegan Cook needed to prepare simple, healthy dinners for my husband and me 5 evenings/week in exchange for a private room/bathroom. We live on the island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. We’d like someone for meal prep and light cleaning 15 hours/week. You can have the rest of the time, including 2 days off each week to hang out by the pool, go to the beach or get a part-time job. Message me on Facebook (Goliath Croix) if you’d like more details. Food Guide Pyramid. Today in Advanced Home Ec.(Yes that really does exist) my Home Ec. teacher gave me back a project involving healthy meal planning using the food pyramid. My meal plan obviously contained no meat and she took off 30/100 points because of the "lack of protein in my diet". Which is A. not true and B. an unintelligent remark. There was plenty of protein, but no meat. She got all mad, and I was late to my Adavanced Algebra 1 because I argued with her for 20 minutes! Ridiculous right? Post Date: 07/27/16, Replies: 3
Food Research Study (Online Survey) Hello everyone! I am an undergraduate psychology student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and I am currently conducting some research on people’s eating habits and attitudes toward food. I am trying to survey a broad sample of people from different walks of life. As part of this research, I am conducting a brief, anonymous survey, which should take only 20-30 minutes to complete. The survey is entirely online, and everyone who takes part will be entered into a draw for a cash prize of $300CAD on January 30th. If you are interested in participating, please visit psyclab1.psych.ubc.ca/~matt/food.php. If you have any questions, you can contact me at [email protected] Thank you very much for your time. From Australia to Florida I'll be visiting southern Florida on business, from Australia, in early March and would have liked a local vegetarian to recommend and join me at local best vegetarian restaurants. Post Date: 05/22/14, Replies: 1
Fruit and Veg I am not a veggie and was just wondering what fruits and veg do you buy. As a meat eater I buy organic because of its impact on the environment but as vegans how do you avoid crops especially organic that are widly fertilised using bone meal and blood meal both slaughter house by products. I was just wondering how you overcome this hurdle as all fruit and veg that I have seen in greengroses and supermarkets does not seem to lable what fertilizers are used, just wether they are grown organicly or conventionaly. Greetings and introduction From Australia Hi folks, Just introducing myself. I am a vegan (10 years and counting) I was vegetarian for 1 year and then I witnessed a cow with calving paralysis and she and her calf died. Her name is Scarlett and she changed my life forever. From this experience I decided to make a film about veganism in 2005 and finished the film in 2008. The film is called A Delicate Balance and I produced and directed it. I am documentary filmmaker and make films about AR and social justice issues. I currently live in Australia but I grew up in CA and hope to return there to live again in the future. Hello :) A newbie, here. Hey, everyone... My names Nikki, and I'm new here. After doing tons of research about healthy living and the food industry, I found myself ready to scream and/or vomit. I'm transition to a vegetarian and, eventually, vegan lifestyle. I'm still making changes daily, and I joined in order to get some help/ advice. I don't want to be part of the problem anymore. :) Post Date: 07/28/16, Replies: 3
Hello you wonderful people you! Hello! My name is Jessica and I'm reallly new to Veganism. And when I say new, I mean new new. I really feel like I've been living with my eyes wide shut, blissfully unaware of animal suffering. Well actually no, I was aware, I thought that buying organic chicken and "cage-free" eggs made it okay. I was wrong. So so so wrong. And now I'm absolutely committed to living a lifestyle that is harmless to animals. At first I had decided I would just go vegetarian, because eggs and dairy don't hurt the animals right? No one dies, right? I was wrong. I decided to make the jump to veganism. I know, there are a ton of people that start being a vegetarian/vegan.. and it last for a day, maybe a week, maybe even a month before they give up. I genuinely think I won't go back. The thought of it makes me physically sick. Anywayyyyys, I digress, hi! What I would really like are some meal suggestions for people who like things plain, just a few ingrediants. I'd also like any tips for people who are just starting out. Thanks!!! Post Date: 04/15/13, Replies: 2

Hello! I'm fairly new to the Vegan lifestyle almost a month. I was searching for a do-able diet to lose weight, then learned about animal cruelty and decided to go vegan. Are there any vegans in my area? Post Date: 02/07/17, Replies: 0
Hello! National Vegetarian Week Ireland Hi there, we are National Vegetarian Week Ireland and are just saying hello. Our week kicks off today Monday 3rd June and runs until Sunday 9th June. We want to celebrate vegetarian food and are encouraging non-vegetarians to go veggie for the week and to take up The Veggie Challenge. We are looking for restaurants, cafes and people all across Ireland to get involved in the week via facebook and twitter. We want you to tell us your favourite vegetarian recipe and send us a picture and we'll post it on our facebook page and pin it to our Pinterest Boards. You can watch our online video blog too - search for irishvegweek on YouTube. Restaurants - get creative and invent a new National Vegetarian Week Dish or create a special offer and let us know and we'll promote it across our website and social media. We want this year's National Vegetarian Week to to be the best yet, but we can't do it alone! Our website is nationalvegetarian (dot) ie Post Date: 06/03/13, Replies: 0
Help! I have a vegan friend visiting! Hello everyone. I will be honest, I am not a vegan or strict vegetarian. I am looking for some advice/help answering a question. I have a good friend coming later this spring to visit me and she is vegan. I want to make sure she is comfortable here, especially with cooking/food. My question is cooking for a vegan similar to cooking for someone who is glutten free? I only ask since I have another friend who is glutten free and she cannot use any utensils/cooking pots that have had wheat products in them. So, is this similar for vegans? No animal products on cooking items? Again, i want to make sure she is comfortable here for her stay and I want to surprize her =). I will get seperate cooking items for her if necessary. please let me know if you can help or recommend what to do. Post Date: 02/24/12, Replies: 5
HELP!! NEW TO VEGANISM Hey everyone. I have been a vegetarian on and off for the last few years but finally decided to become a vegan after studying for my diploma in animal care and seeing the abuse animals suffer for human greed. Did anyone else find the transition from vegetarian to vegan difficult? x Post Date: 08/15/14, Replies: 5
