  • Great variety of delicious vegan options

The menu at Burma Burma is so extensive, diverse, and appealing that upon opening it I immediately was hoping the food would be tasty enough to warrant repeat visits to sample more of the goodness on offer. Well, fortunately, it was! I selected the corn fritters as an appetizer (one of my enduring southeast Asian favorites) and the tea leaves with tofu as the main dish. My waiter tried to talk me into changing my order (perhaps assuming I was new to the cuisine and groping in the dark), but I stood my ground and was well rewarded for doing so: both dishes were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive, and it didn't take too long for my food to arrive on the table. The only negative for me was the pop music played at overwhelmingly high volume, too loud for comfortable conversation (I'd much prefer a more tasteful soundtrack, whether that be traditional Burmese music or jazz, etc.). Compared to other restaurants in the NCR, Burma Burma has one of the most extensive selections of vegan options. That, combined with the quality and easy access by metro, make it a worthwhile destination for residents and travelers alike. I'll return again, with friends. Enjoy!
