- Weird definition of vegan - double-check
I added this because I guess it has to be on here, however I wouldn't go here a second time. Because of the restaurant's name, me and my partner tried to understand whether they use cow's milk and asked whether or not a dish was vegan, the waiter got unfriendly.. apparently all dishes can me made without milk or egg, but you need to ask for that e.g. pancakes. When we payed our bill the waiter came back again and told me in an unfriendly manner that indeed there can be different definitions of vegan, that they think it means not taking a life and by using eggs you wouldn't do that. I didn't want to start a discussion but just said that internationally it's understood differently and that it might be misleading. He said I had now learned a new definition... Apart from that: we had a burger which looked good but didn't taste of much.. I recommend the shakes though (a bit overpriced but made with soy milk). can't judge the rest of the food.. but honestly, many restaurants in Tam Coc offer veg* food.
