- Delicious food and care given towards vegetarians
To corroborate the other review here, it was difficult to find as well. That's why we posted a picture of the front of the restaurant, so people can find it as it's very distinct looking. Most regular Chinese restaurants have veggie options in China, the problem is that people in China rarely speak enough English to convey what is safe to eat on their menus. When you walk in and explain you're vegetarian you are assigned someone who speaks English and helps to navigate the menu to your needs. We ordered some amazing flower dumplings with veg filling (not sure if they were vegan). Two deep fried rice cakes with red bean and vegetable fillings (batter might of been made with egg) and some lovely greens he recommended that were vegan. You could get some other vegan options, chinese cabbage, veggies and plain rice or noodles. If you are sight seeing in Datong and struggle to find somewhere to eat this place is great to go to. It's beautifully decorated and very reasonably priced. Updated from previous review on 2019-11-10
