Natural Grocers came to SATX in 2016. My favorite grocers for so many reasons. Plus 5% military discount. Bagless checkout. Bring your own bags, buy theirs or use their boxes. NG is small, friendly, clean & perfect for easy shopping. Attractive aisles, nice lighting, well laid out, easy access to all displays. Never feels cramped, though it's quite small for a grocery store. Homey & comfortable. Much attention to details customers probably don't notice, yet these enrich the entire experience. Feels very 'high-end' yet NOT expensive!! Prices are extremely reasonable. BIG advantage: ALL gorgeous, fresh produce is ORGANIC. ALL of it. Like an extension of our kitchen garden. Nice! NO meat counter. Some frozen/refrigerated animal parts in back corner - pretty easy to avoid. Some dairy products. NG is quality & environmentally conscientious company with a list of criteria for everything they carry. It must pass their 'tests' before they will sell any product. NG policy since mid-1950s. Extensive vitamin/supplement section. Easy shopping here, too. All of one category shelved together for easy comparisons. Logical arrangement. Easy to shop for 'bulk' items. 'Prepackaged' in convenient sizes. Organized so you can find them quickly. Find 'bulk' nuts, flours, chocolate chips & other semi-perishables (also prepackaged) in freezer cases nearby. Perfect. NO messy bagging, weighing & labeling or waste. So clean, fresh and sanitary. Win!! Prices are excellent. Great selection of personal care products in small section with wonderful, high quality choices. LOVE their bath soaps! NG maintains high standards of integrity, cleanliness and customer-friendly simplicity. Even restrooms are super clean. Good-sized 'classroom' area at entrance where they offer many free classes on healthy / holistic living. NG offers 'membership' email newsletter with frequent savings coupons you must click on *each time* they arrive in your email *before* you get to the checkout counter. 'Earn' a few points every time you shop. Very friendly, they don't run you out the minute they close. They really appreciate your business.
