- A bit disorganised
I visited The Courtyard Cafe with my parents; I'm vegan and my dad's a coeliac (gluten free). There were options for both of us, but nothing was labelled as vegan or gluten free and when we asked, the staff took a while to figure out what was OK for us. Considering it isn't a huge menu it was a bit disappointing. They then forgot our order, so it took ages even though there weren't many people eating there. Once it arrived the food was lovely; we all had soup. When we then wanted to order cakes after our soup, they had no idea what was suitable for our diets because the person who made them had forgotten to leave them the ingredients! The healthfood shop itself was great, and well stocked for such a small space, but I got the feeling the cafe was an after thought that they don't really have the resources for. It's worth a visit, as long as you're ready to be very patient!
