If you talk to Ben, the senior manager to the Ventura Midtown Farmer's Market, he will tell you all sorts of interesting details. For example, this 22-year-old Farmer's Market used to be held across the street in the Lowe's parking lot (formerly Montgomery Wards) before moving to the Pacific View Mall. This Farmer's Market is less hectic and has a more relaxed atmosphere than other Farmer's Markets in this area. The parking is good, and that makes a big difference. I'd like to mention two of the things I enjoy most about this market. First, the Veggie Tamales. They just cannot be beat! They are both generous in size and very moist and delicious. Their green sauce is delightfully spicy, but not too hot. Second, the wonderful musical entertainment by the market vocalist. His music makes this "All Organic" Farmer's Market a soothing consumer experience. It is also interesting to know that some of the Midtown Vendors are part of the original group that started over twenty two years ago. Despite many start-up obstacles, this serious group of organic farmers were committed to presenting their very best offerings to the Ventura public. In order to overcome the start-up obstacles, these dedicated vendors pulled together and formed a Farmer's Club that is still in existence today. So, come and support our organic community. Drink up the melodic sounds and spoil your culinary senses with good organic fruits and veggies, and other product offerings of these Midtown vendors.
