- A great disappointment
I went to Aed with high hopes, as I know they are owned by the same people as the amazing Vegan restoran V. The bread was great, and I got offered olive oil when I mentioned I was vegan. However, the food was a big disappointment, and I only ate it because I was so hungry. This is the dish I ordered: MILLET CAKE, EGGPLANT ROASTED WITH HERBS AND SEEDS AND PARSNIP CREAM (V,G) sweet pepper-egglplant-onion millet cake, warm salad with oyster mushrooms and beans The dish looked nice, but it was not what I ordered. There were no beans with the mushrooms, and the eggplant was roasted alone without any herbs, spices or seeds. Also the millet cake was just millet, and the taste resembled something like cardboard. The eggplant was undercooked and like an old woolly sock, really chewy and not nice. Also the large mushrooms were undercooked. Altogether the dish left me hungry and disappointed. The staff took my complaint well, but I would have appreciated a discount as the dish was in no way worth the 12,8€ we paid.
