- One of rare places in the region offering decent veg dishes
Wine country unfortunately is all about meat, cheese and all-things-animal. Terrafina chef has created the menu starting from building side dishes that are during the summer season often harvested from their own garden. Even though the menu is very meat and cheese heavy, kitchen and front staff are knowledgeable of veganized options and make them really impressive- not your usual plain salad. Brunch, lunch and dinner menus all differ. For Brunch on Sundays - this is a MUST have! Served on skilled you'll be pleased of flavors, textures and how full your belly will feel. We can all agree breakfast is the hardest meal to find decent in restaurants but here they make it how it should be! Chef's vegan creations are equally thought through as the rest of the menu, for example carrots on the Fall Vegetable dish are braised and then smoked in smoker creating surprising flavors along with house pickled balsamic beets, parsnip and fennel. Poached pear and baby kale salad when veganized will be a good appetizer to share- the poached pears are so worth it! Maybe share a plate. If chef is in, ask for veganized version of meatloaf sandwich, usually they can make it with the SUPER amazing house made lentil galette by order (+balsamic onion dip, arugula, pickled beets). It's amazing! And ask for vegan pizza- it's not on the menu, but kitchen has their own recipe AND they have DAIYA available!!! If you are in the area, definitely go for Terrafina and compliment the chef Jenna for her creative work and care! Hester Creek wines are vegan too! Enjoy! Updated from previous review on 2016-10-25
