- Really awesome
Free kitchen run mostly by volunteers that feeds 70,000-100,000 people per day with free vegetarian meals. Get your cup/spoon/plate from the entry area and follow others to take a seat on the floor in rows. Sit down, put your plate in front of you, and people will come by to put various items on your plate. DO NOT take any foods you don't plan to eat completely. Wasting food here is highly offensive. The bread is not vegan, from my understanding. The vegetables, lentils & rice should be vegan. After you finish, follow people out the door to drop off your utensils to volunteers who are washing dishes. Follow others for cues on where to go/what to do. Ask questions, if needed. It's very welcoming to outsiders, and they know it's probably you're first time eating there.
