Located just a stone’s throw from the Gateshead Sage the Central bar is a great place to visit for food and drink. I have been going here for many a year mostly for the great beer but now since the menu has embraced veganism, it has become an even better place to go to. All vegan options are clearly labelled and on offer they have a 'hearty' spicy bean burger, biriyani curry, a specials board that changes regularly and sides and nibbles such as the homemade chunky chips, all at moderate prices. The staff here are very friendly and the atmosphere is always excellent with a great playlist of tunes in the background.
