  • vegans friendly but animal unfriendly

I do not understand why this establishment is on happy cow, ok they serve vegan options but they are a company whose main product is basically a fried chunk of an animal. They serve soya milk which is progressive but so do all the major coffee shop chains, are we supposed to litter happy cow with these also. I applaud the vegan society for influencing any meat based company to include ethical products, it's great to highlight veganism in a positive light to show others than we don't just eat salads and for young vegan or vegan curious individuals it's great they can go to a burger joint with friends and not have to feel abnormal. But seriously is any long established vegan really gonna visit this place when there are so many more ethical options to be found in all the major cities. I know that Heather Mills Mcartney once introduced a vegan burger to Burger King, I don't know if they still sell it because I have no intention of ever frequenting such an awful place. And finally, I really question the cruel slaughter methods used for some of the animal products and would not want to be anywhere that condones such barbaric practices.
