  • VEGAN FISH N CHIPS!

I love(d) everything about this place. The vegan fish n chips were delicious and gorgeous. I've searched the world over for vegan fish n chips, but I've only read about a place in Australia somewhere that does them. To find a place here in the UK...! I love the amount of thought and creativity that went into this dish and making it taste really good. The dish was perfectly fried - crispy and not floating in oil. The vegan pancakes were light and fluffy, the scrambled tofu done to perfection, the potatoes amazing, and the sausage made there - not something out of Tesco's freezer. I appreciated that they don't charge you extra for non-dairy mylk for your coffee. The staff were helpful and friendly. Edit: I passed through the city today, about two weeks after posting the above review, and headed straight for this place. *Everything* we ordered was a disappointment. The vegan burger was really mushy, which wouldn't have been a huge problem had it not come in a really hard bun (bad combination!), and instead of the nice, light, fluffy pancakes from before, these were tiny, hard, and oily. It was supposed to come 'with berries' -- which turned out to be exactly 7 blueberries. Painfully overpriced. Even the almond mylk latte, which was fabulous last time, was a disappointment today. When I asked, they said the kitchen staff had been replaced -- really too bad! I really loved this place. It's still new; perhaps they'll get things together. My fish n chips dish from the first visit was definitely 5 stars - I hope they don't ruin that! Updated from previous review on 2016-07-23
