- Healthy food made with love
It's well worth seeking out this small shopfront down an unassuming side street in Ciutadellia. PiqNiq, one of the only vego and vegan options available on Menorca's west coast, is a petite but mighty restaurant lovingly run by its two French owners. There isn't a whole lot of seating space inside, but you can easily take away your food and enjoy in one of the open squares nearby. The menu is refreshingly affordable and the serving sizes give you great value for money. €6-7 for a healthy, substantial main - largely vegan at that - is an impressive feat. I tucked into a delightful mix of the bulgur wheat tabouleh and vegan pasta 'Rummo', and also at my table was the quinoa salad - each a plentiful and well balanced meal packed with fresh ingredients and drizzled with a light dressing. I'd definitely recommend trying a mix of dishes as each seems to be as enjoyable as the next, and the food really is beautifully prepared and served. On the way out, grab a vegan cookie or slice of banana bread for a euro or two. It will top off what is an exceptionally wonderful vegan find in Ciutadella.
