- Delicious donuts
As a first time visitor to Portland, had to try the places I had heard about. Blue Star donuts came highly recommended; very well deserved. The NW location was closest to our hotel. Not 100% vegan, though. Two vegan options left by the time we arrived late afternoon, blueberry basil cake, and sugar & spice cake. Both were deliciously moist, fluffy; not at all dry like some cake donuts. Traveling companion had non-vegan varieties & was quite pleased. We skipped coffe, tea; both available. Fun place to meet & greet. Friendly, knowledgeable, engaging staff. On street metered parking. Blue Star donuts recently opened a location in PDX, Portland's International Airport!
