  • Great little sandwich shop

Lots of fresh and tasty lunch options in this slightly hidden-away new outlet. The sandwiches on bloomer bread are a bit on the small side but generously filled, although I could easily eat two! The flavour combinations are inventive and work really well. The croissants are nice and fresh. The pastries are tasty, although the strawberry one would be much better with real strawberry jam; the synthetic, overly sweet "red Greggs gloop" doesn't do the nice flaky pastry justice. (On that note, it would be nice to see a pastry maker take on the authentic Danish filling of "creme", a yellow custard blob, although that might be hard to veganise... but I live in hope.) Altogether Kind Crusts offers a menu with many delicious items which are worth a trek to Dennistoun. There is barely any space inside the shop to eat, though, so be prepared to eat in the street or elsewhere.
