- Tasty food and ambitious waiter
We ended up here because the Bean Inn was closed and the Mex (nearly next door) was sooo busy. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised. There are no marked vegan options on the menu, but as soon as we asked the waiter for vegan meals, he was very ambitious to point out options or to suggest meals that can be made vegan on request, and he also discussed this with the chef. We felt very "safe" in that respect, which is not always the case. The food itself was delicious as well. The place was packed (as was everything in St. Ives that night, partly due to the fact that other restaurants were closed), so we were lucky we got a table. Because it was so full, it was loud and it took quite a while to arrive, but this is normal when the restaurant is that busy.
