• My Happy Place

I am so lucky to live only a few blocks from Cedar Ridge. This place is so special for so many reasons. 1) The food. My personal favorite is a delicious savory scone (every day there are different varieties) with egg and cheese (aka a "sconewich"), and now they are offering a vegan friendly option. Have I mentioned that every day there is a case filled with incredibly delicious baked goods from cinnamon buns to cookies to donuts to muffins to whatever else Michelle the head baker dreams up. There are also tons of vegetarian and vegan savory options so it's a great place for lunch as well. For example, they just added a buffalo tempeh sandwich to the menu that is so so yummy. I also love the vuna sandwich (vegan tuna made with chickpeas). Also I'd like to mention that I got a cake for my son's birthday from here and it was honestly the best cake I've ever eaten. 2) The staff. This was very close to being the #1 reason why I love this place. The owner Paul and manager/head baker Michelle and all the other staff there really make you feel welcome. My son has frequently gotten a complimentary cookie in exchange for a high five and a smile, and it's just a happy place to hang out at. I could go on and on but I'll wrap it up. In conclusion, this place rules. You should check it out - but make sure you leave me a scone and a chocolate peppermint cookie ;) Updated from previous review on 2017-01-08
