- A pauper's soup
I went there on a weekday afternoon. They don't serve dinner before 5:30 pm, but they had soup and cakes. I had a broccoli soup for 4,90 €. It was neither blended, nor a broth with decent chunks, but rather like vegetables somebody forgot on the stovetop so they cooked down to mush. Stuff you should buy for 1 € in a canteen. Tastewise it was eatable, but not good. The soup came with a Schnittbrötchen, the cheapest kind of roll there is, and it wasn't even fresh. Serving this for the price they charge is just presumptuous. The wine was good and the atmosphere was alright. The music was old Coldplay-stuff throughout the whole of my visit, for those who care. Due to the quality of the food, I cannot recommend this. I know this is a harsh rating, but the old Schnittbrötchen was really too obvious a way of cutting costs.
