- Possibly the Best Hummus in Town
Lovely independent & authentic hummus bistro in beautiful Jordaan. Hugely vegetarian and vegan friendly. Very busy at peak times. You can order a hummus plate of your choice (egg plant for me always a winner) a plate of falafel with tahini and then make your own sandwiches with the pitta breads and pickles that accompany the food. Hummus plates are around €8-9 and falafel with tahini €7 for 5 pieces. Wine is fairly priced for Amsterdam at around €18 a bottle. The interior is rustic and friendly with plenty of seating and an open kitchen at the back. Definitely the best hummus I've had in The Dam. Years ago you had no choice but to go to Maoz for a hummus and falafel fix but now things are moving forward for the better.
