  • Great little find well worth a visit

What a lovely little find in Willis Street. Focused mainly on cakes and treats this cafe does have a selection of toasties and dishes for lunch too, using plant based foods. What is good is that there is no other cafe in this area offering vegan cakes and drinks, so really good to have somewhere handy to go. Do you have to be vegan to eat here? Well I doubt you’d know it by the quality of the cakes - they are DELICIOUS and very decadent. The owner also does a selection of custom made birthday and celebration cakes. What was lovely was having a vegan chocolate ice ’cream’ and almond milkshake. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed this type of food. Their donut snickers cake with peanut fondant icing was dreamy and certainly didn’t break the bank. The owner is trying to convert her menu to totally plant based and to make her 'meat eating' customers feel like they are still eating 'normal' food. She has moved herself onto a plant based diet recently so good on her. Tendency to focus a bit much on soya, I personally like a chance to eat vegan non-soya foods. But that said don't let that stop you eating here it is well worth it. The cafe itself is small, with a Dr Who theme! It only has one table outside in the courtyard for eating so not really a place to hang out and socialise which is a real shame because it is in a nice quiet area off the main street which would be perfect for meeting up with friends. Vincent’s Art Gallery is next door too if you fancy getting creative.
