  • A must-visit.

This was the culinary highlight of our trip to Paris. Though the proprietor/chef/waiter Giovanni doesn't speak much English, between our French and a kind patron who spoke English well, we managed well. You may want to study up on a couple of the French or Italian words for Italian cuisine, just for a leg up in case. This is a small place; I recommend a reservation. I mentioned when making ours we were vegan and he had several vegan choices--desserts included--waiting for us on the day's menu. The chocolate cake with olive oil was good, the fruity salad that was my appetizer was amazing, and the chickpea and rosemary sauce for my pasta was even better. The atmosphere was inviting, Giovanni was incredibly accommodating to our vegan diet, and we went home with wonderful memories. Make sure to bring cash, no credit cards accepted.
