  • Tasty dose of deep-fried goodness, but not much more

I was looking forward to a big delicious lunch of vegan fish and chips and I wasn't disappointed in terms of a fix of deep-fried goodness. We ordered a lot, probably more than we should have. The chips, fish and calamari were all beautifully cooked, crisp and tasty, not greasy. Unfortunately the texture of the fish and calamari was quite rubbery. The sides of tartare sauce and aioli were also a bit sweet for me. The chicken burger was OK, but the mock chicken took the form of dry pellets, which were not really that appetising or delicious. The dishes were generally a decent size, particularly the large chips. Everything I've mentioned, plus a drink, cost $51. It sounded expensive, but it was a lot of food, although we managed to finish it all between two of us.
