  • Worth seeking out if you want authentic Korean vegan food

Thanks for the directions and the photographs - without careful study of both, I would never have found this great place! Everything the previous reviewer rburrke said is correct. I phoned first, and they confirmed they were open. When you are just about to give up, you see a doorway leading to some stairs, and up you go! In traditional Korean style, your take your shoes off when you enter (I'm glad I didn't have holy socks on!) I was offered a menu only in Korean characters, but the lady sat next to me was able to translate and advise. At 6 pm it was already too late to have fried, vegetable stuffed, pastry parcels, but I could have steamed ones (thanks again to the kind lady sat next to me for negotiating that!). They were great, but surpassed by the spicy vegetables with noodles, which combined some really interesting flavours. Kimchi and popcorn seemed to be given free (but as any vegan in Korea for any length of time will tell you, you can have too much Kimchi - and often it seems that is all you will get!)
