• Over the river from the Grand Palace

A small retail shop ideal for buying a few supplies befor going back to your condo'for a cook-up. Or for a healthy snack to eat on the go. Or to take back to you country some exotic dry food the likes of that which I have never seen befor. To find:- catch any commuter boat on the Chaophraya river to the Sirirat pier. Once there you will see that there are three floating jetties. Head for the jetty at the other end which is for express boat departures. Along the walkway about 10 steps befor the departure jetty is the shop. Actualy two small shops directly oppisite each other. Staff are very friendly. Very informative too if you can speak Thai. (The staff informed me that Poh Puk has 3 other branches: One in Nontaburri north of Bangkok, telephone 02-951 0907. And two at Phuttamonthon, western Bangkok, telephone 02-874 8315 and 02-867 3744-5) Up the street out side the pier is a bustling street market where it is often possable to buy almond milk, soi milk and other difficult to get goodies at local Thai street prices!
