- Ok food, nothing special
I have heard a lot of the Veganz chain and was looking forward to go there. As I opted out of the breakfast in the hotel I was looking for a place for early lunch/late breakfast and went to Veganz in Kreuzberg. Veganz is on the first floor of a market hall. The goodies section is overlooking the market and offers chilled food in a small open refrigerator and you have several wraps on offer as well as hot food (I think it is seasonal). I ordered the Mexican bean stew and had Chia Mango Dessert. The Stew was ok, not very spicy. The dessert also nothing out of the ordinary. The food was rather simple but tasty. Veganz goodies is more like a better canteen then a restaurant/cafe. Overall it is ok for a quick healthy lunch but nothing more. The shop offers mostly Seitan, Tofu, Soya meat alternatives. Lots of chocolate and cookies and typical German Christmas biscuits, Lebkuchen etc. all vegan of course.
